Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana are looking to pick up where they left off after footage of them in the studio working on Tha Carter 6 has surfaced online.

On Thursday (September 1), Juelz took to his Instagram with a series of videos showing him and Weezy in the studio with a few friends.

The first clip opens with the Harlem native showing off his I Can’t Feel My Face cannabis strain and t-shirts while panning out to show Lil Wayne going over rhymes in his head while a beat plays in the background.

A second clip shows Weezy rapping in the booth while the Dipset member takes a few pulls from his blunt. Another video shows Lil Wayne playing a few notes on an electric guitar with his buddy Skip Bayless popping up on the TV behind him.

“CARTER 6 In Process… #ICFMFLifeslstyle #WeInMotion #BackOutSide,” Juelz Santana captioned the post.

Juelz also shared a photo of him and Lil Wayne linking up last week. It’s unclear if the two will have a track together on the sixth installment of Wayne’s Tha Carter series.

“My Brother 4Life #ICFMF@icantfeelmyfacellc Everything That Comes With This Stamp Will B… We In Motion… #BackoutSide,” Juelz wrote.

In July, Juelz Santana spoke with TMZ about the I Can’t Feel My Face collaborative mixtape he and Wayne were supposed to drop in the mid-2000s. According to Juelz, he still has hope for the near-mythical mixtape.

“All I’ma say is Wayne is my brother,” he said. “We are never not working on music outside of each other, as well as together, so for us to do a I Can’t Feel My Face project is definitely not unlikely to happen.”

Lil Wayne Admits He Was 'Worried' When 'Tha Carter' Dropped

As for Lil Wayne, he’s fully locked in to recording Tha Carter 6. Weezy brought the album up during his Young Money reunion performance alongside Nicki Minaj and Drake at the third and final night of the 6 God’s October World Weekend festival earlier this month.

At the end of the star-studded show, Lil Wayne interrupted Drake’s farewell speech to reveal his Tha Carter VI album is on the way. “I’m working on Carter VI, coming soon!” he told the crowd.

A giant sign reading “Tha Carter VI” appeared on the onstage screen as the Young Money crew left the stage. Tha Carter VI — the follow-up to 2018’s Tha Carter V, — has been in the works since at least 2020.
