Lil Wayne Addresses Young Money Status

After shocking the Internet last week with a series of tweets aimed at Baby and Cash Money Records, Wayne appears to be addressing the situation again.

Today (December 11), the embattled rapper took to his Twitter account to declare his allegiance to his own label, Young Money.

“YM! That’s it. Nothing else,” Lil Wayne wrote.

During the days that have passed since Wayne aired out his parent label Cash Money, many have wondered where that leaves the artists that make up Young Money Entertainment. It appears that the rapper is standing by his team.

Last week, Wayne apologized to fans for not being able to release Tha Carter V.

To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it,” he tweeted last week.

    1. He only said he was loyal to young money (his own label.) Didn’t say anything about cash money. Wayne’s probably hoping to take his label out of cash money.

    2. It appears not even wayne can have a say in when his own artist albums are out. Cash Money is handling all the business. Wayne needs to leave.

    3. Wayne is now trying to steal other hard working niggas from cash money. Wayne won’t have a career when all of this is over along with any rapper who chooses to follow wayne like tyga.

      1. bcuz his album dropped or is dropping soon.. SMH wtf would this have to do with generating drama for his album?? the beef was over his album NOT dropping and NOT having a release date.. YA FOOL!

      2. ^ Let’s be real, though. How many singles has he dropped for this album already? Only one really popped (Believe Me) and even that didn’t blow up the charts like expected. I see this whole “label issues” thing as nothing more than generating buzz for the album. It’s okay, other rappers have done it too.

    4. hey retard. do you think they would hold on to an album if they knew it would make money? they’re sitting on your retarded album because they know no one is going to buy it. release it independently and watch what (doesn’t) happen

    5. The majority of people on this site have poor educations. I deduced this by reading other people’s comments on this site.

    6. YM are those niggas. Easily the label with the highest % of gays in the industry. I’ve banged and/or slurped five of them dudes myself.

      1. Yo, quit brainwashing YM artists will bullshit you made up. Just because you bombing doesn’t give you the right to start brainwashing wayne and tyga.

      2. Looooollll lmaaaaaooooooffff!!! Oh shit imma fan ama fan!!! No homo doe!! Oh shit i had a stressful day of work but that shit just made all that go away!! Oh shit hahhhahha

    7. Are you commenting people here stupid?

He clearly states its “YM” nothing else. Do you not understand? It’s not YMCMB. So no more Cash Money. Young Money is his label.

So he’s saying he’s not with Cash Money anymore.

    8. lil wayne shud just retire…….simple as that..he had a good run…he shud just release the carter v as a mixtape or an ep

    9. And Christopher Harris is the most recent winner of the Danielle Harding Jernalest award…..good job buddy…..so proud of you…..what a great article…..tons of great speculation…..such terrific insight…..keep reaching for the stars kiddo

    10. This constitutes as him “addressing Young Money”. He said 5 words and you stupid ass editors felt the need to write an article on it? Not only was it pointless, but you managed to repost the same shit you have already written in other articles. You guys sincerely suck. How about you just update the original article instead of getting us excited by thinking yo actually had something more concrete to say?

Here write an article on me addressing you. “HiphopDX sucks. That’s it. Nothing else.”
