Lil Wayne has put together a full 7-on-7 fantasy team comprised of Hip Hop stars, and Eminem is holding it down as the quarterback.
While talking with NFL star Travis Hunter on his eponymous podcast, a jovial Weezy thought long and hard about how he’d populate his team.
First up he had JAY-Z, noting, “I don’t know if he’s the coach or something, but he a veteran.”
He continued: “Then we need a proven superstar, and that would be my man Drizzy [Drake]. He could play both sides of the ball, he could sing and rap.

“Now we need somebody that could move so we going with…they gotta rap right?” he asked, before pivoting while he thought longer about that.
“This ain’t the mover, but I’m going with Kiss,” he said. “I think you see Kiss in that backfield and get scared.
“Found the mover, you probably thought I meant [a dancer] but I’ma fuck you up. Turn around and shake that ass for ’em – Nicki! Now we need some toughness. Do they have to be alive? I’m going with Biggie. Then this that wild card. I’m going with J. Cole. He gon’ keep the ship steady when we got the hot heads tripping.”
And finally, why he chose Em: “No race shit, but you gotta have a nice white boy as quarterback. I’m sorry. He could also be the kicker, you never know!”

He also has a backup player: “It was hard to leave Missy [Elliott] off my list. It was very hard so if I got a bench, then Missy on the bench. Missy coming in as my emergency player because she can do everything. She can sing dance and rap. And produce.”
The convo starts just after the 21-minite mark below.
She added: “Sometimes it’s hard to run into a real one in this business but when you do DON’T LET THEM GO A huge hug will let them know you appreciate them & their contributions to the CULTURE! Thank You @LilTunechi.”
Weezy named Missy in the No. 1 slot of his top five rappers when rattling off his list on the What’s Wright? With Nick Wright podcast in the past as well.
“It’s always gonna be first Missy Elliott,” he said. “She’s a huge influence of everything I’ve ever done. JAY-Z is the best ever to speak. Biggie, obviously. Then I have the whole Goodie Mob. Then I have UGK.”
Weezy has also previously credited Missy with inspiring him to start using ad-libs on tracks.
