Lil Wayne’s daughter has made it clear that she has no interest in getting back together with YFN Lucci, who will be released from police custody in a few months.

The pair were off and on from 2018 until the rapper’s arrest in 2021 on multiple charges, including murder and racketeering. Soon after it was revealed that he will be a free man by this summer, social media users began posting about Reginae Carter reigniting a romance with her former partner.

“I think Reginae going back to Lucci,” one person tweeted, while another added: “Reginae gonna have to get Lucci back in blood cause ol girl not coming up off him.”

The 25-year-old seems to have caught wind of all the chatter as she took to Twitter on Wednesday (January 24) and wrote: “I hate doing this but some ppl are confused . I’m not tied to no man . I’m single. I’m Tired of the speculations . And I’m not looking back . At all . Send me everything new.”

Earlier this week, the Atlanta native (real name Rayshawn Bennett) was sentenced to 20 years behind bars in the RICO case against the YFN collective. WSB-TV initially reported that he would only have to spend one decade in prison, but that was reduced further down to just three and a half months soon after.

Lucci, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. He was initially facing numerous felony charges, including murder, which carried a maximum sentence of life without parole.

As part of his plea deal, though, Lucci is expected to get credit for time served, which began when he surrendered to authorities in January 2021. The State has also agreed to write a letter to the pardon and parole board saying they will not object to his early release.

The “Everyday We Lit” rapper was among a dozen suspects indicted in a sprawling 105-count racketeering indictment against his YFN collective, which prosecutors allege is a faction of the Bloods gang.

Lucci was initially arrested over a December 2020 shooting in Atlanta that killed a 28-year-old man and injured another man. Prosecutors told the judge during the trial that he was the driver and didn’t fire the deadly shots.

The indictment, which was filed while he was out on bond, brought a whole host of other charges against him, including racketeering, violating Georgia’s anti-gang law and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Lucci was previously offered a plea deal by prosecutors last year, which would’ve seen him serve 17 years of a 20-year prison sentence. The rapper rejected it, with his attorneys Drew Findling and Gabe Banks telling TMZ they found the deal to be “absurd.”
