Lil Tjay got into a scuffle backstage at Hot 97 Summer Jam over the weekend.
A video surfaced online of the Bronx rapper being held back by security inside the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York while shouting at someone further down the hallway.

“You’re gonna be fired!” Tjay can be heard yelling while looking visibly upset and trying to confront the unnamed individual.
At the end of the clip, the person holding the camera said: “N-gga popped on Lil Tjay, bro.” It’s currently unknown who Tjay was directing his anger toward.
Lil Tjay was one of several homegrown artists who hit the stage at the annual New York festival. In addition to delivering his own set, he also came out during Ice Spice‘s set to perform their “Gangsta Boo” collaboration.
This isn’t the first time Tjay has been involved in an incident at a concert. In November 2021, the “Calling My Phone” hitmaker was performing in Manchester, England and stopped the show after being hit by a water bottle from the crowd.

“I’m not playing no more,” he said on stage. “Chill out. Hold on, pause that. Who wanna fight? Who gangsta enough to do that? You wanna fight? Pull up to the front. Swear to God.”
He continued: “Bring him on the stage. I wanna show him how my hands really work. Hold on, let him up. I’ma bring you up. Oh aight, who was it? Alright, here we go. Y’all n-ggas is bored out here, I ain’t wanna hear nothing.”
Lil Tjay is also no stranger to being targeted on home soil. Last June, the 22-year-old was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey. He was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery, before making a full recovery.
The alleged shooter, a 27-year-old man named Mohamed Konate, was arrested soon after and charged with first-degree attempted murder and first-degree armed robbery, along with multiple weapons offenses.
