Lil Reese has sounded off with his thoughts regarding King Von‘s viral jail video, alleging that while he believes there’s some truth to the footage, there’s more to the situation than meets the eye.
In a recent conversation with Cam Capone News, the South Side Chicago rhymer addressed the leaked bodycam footage — from November 2017 — which surfaced on social media last week, and shows Von informing cops of his purported sexual orientation in an attempt to be transferred to another area of the jail and receive protective custody.

“Yeah, he was playing. He was playing. He was playing the whole time,” said Lil Reese. “I know he was playing because he was trying to get moved to a new deck – so that’s what you got to do sometime. You gotta play like that. He was fucking around though.”
He then added: “But, Lil Jay wasn’t joking,” drawing attention to fellow Chitown rapper King Lil Jay who in a separate prison clip this week, was allegedly captured letting a male inmate sit on his lap.

Later, when asked whether joking about one’s sexuality is considered normal behavior when “dudes” are attempting to secure special treatment, Lil Reese maintained you gotta do what you gotta do.
“I mean I don’t know. I don’t know about that. But it’s certain ways you gotta do things — he probably was just fucking around, just wanted to get moved. So he did that,” he maintained.
Despite the footage blowback, Lil Reese demanded Von’s reputation stay intact, reminding viewers if they watch a second clip that dropped days later, an officer can be heard confirming his intent.
“He doesn’t want anything. He just wants to move across the hall. We’re not doing that right now,” the officer can be heard saying in light of Von’s declaration as he escorts him down a long hallway.

A sentiment echoed by Von’s camp who raced to the rapper’s defense amid the drama. “YALL KNO MY BOA TROLLING TO GET PUT ON ANOTHER DECK STOP DAT BAPPIN,” fellow Chicago native No Limit Kyro wrote on his Instagram Stories.
On November 6, 2020, King Von was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta hookah lounge during a dispute with Quando Rondo‘s crew. Lul Tim has been charged with his murder.
Meanwhile, King Lil Jay — who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for murder conspiracy and the intent to kill in 2019 — was not so fortunate as he believed the claims regarding his sexuality were in an effort to disgrace his name.
“Ya’ll try to tarnish the face, man,” he said in response to the allegations in a phone call from prison. “Ya’ll try anything — face don’t match, tattoos don’t match, body don’t, skin tone. Come on, man, make it make sense.”

Last year, Say Cheese TV asked Jay about the gay allegations, to which he responded: “Why the fuck would I do anything with a gay motherfucka. I fuck all the hoes.”
He continued: “I ain’t got nothing against the gay people. I fuck all the hoes — I love pussy to death. I love it — that shit food, man. N-ggas made that rumor up.”
