Lil Pump has been in Donald Trump’s corner since a month before Trump lost his bid for re-election in 2020, and it looks like the “Gucci Gang” rapper is still on the DT train.

On Saturday (December 16), Pump and Trump crossed paths at UFC 296, the fighting league’s most recent big event in Las Vegas.

At the event, which saw Leon Edwards defeat Colby Covington and Paddy Pimblett defeat Tony Ferguson, among others, Pump captured a photo of him and the former US president.

“Greatest president of all time,” he captioned the post, which you can see below.

Pump’s October 2020 endorsement of Donald Trump landed him an onstage appearance at a Trump rally on Election Day, though the then-president messed up the rapper’s name, calling him “Little Pimp.”

Pump in return called for the audience to “MAGA [Make America Great Again] 20-20-20,” while adding: “Don’t forget that.”

In the years since, Pump has remained one of the “few” rappers on Trump’s side, according to the man himself.

The rapper appeared at Trump’s rally in Florida last month, where he got a shoutout from the embattled ex-president. Trump shouted out Lil Pump for being a day one supporter.

“He’s one of the few — rapper Lil Pump,” Trump said at the rally.

Lil Pump then stood up and saluted the crowd, where he also donned a red MAGA hat in support.

Days later, the rapper continued to demonstrate his support by adding red, white, and blue to his hair. “Pump for trump,” he captioned a picture of the new ‘do.

The rapper’s original support for Trump back in October 2020 was, he said, based on opposition to U.S. presidential election due to Joe Biden’s proposed tax plan.

“All I gotta say is Trump 2020 bitch!” he said at the time in a video to his 17.3m followers. “Fuck I look like paying an extra 33 in tax for Biden, bitch-ass n-gga. Fuck sleepy Joe n-gga, Trump 2020 bitch!”

The tax situation Pump referred to was the Democratic plan to increase taxes on the most wealthy. According to CNN, the proposal would have raised the top federal tax rate from 37 to 39.6 percent and increase the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28 percent. The plan would have only raised taxes on Americans earning over $400,000 a year, which is less than 10 percent of overall taxpayers.
