Lil Nas X Proclaims The Change Of Hip Hop: ‘There’s Gonna Be So Many Gay Rappers’

Lil Nas X is an openly gay rapper, and he has made waves with his music and bold statements. He regularly challenges the idea of what a rapper should be with his music and live performances, and he doesn’t care what no one thinks.

In a recent interview with GQ, the MONTERO rapper predicted a change in Hip Hop that might take some getting used to given the culture’s history with masculinity. According to Lil Nas X, the door is wide open for more gay and transgender rappers to break through into the industry.

“The whole landscape is very hypermasculine,” he said. “I do feel like this newer generation of rappers who are coming in, and the ones who are here, are going to have to reshape their thoughts. Because change is happening. There’s going to be so many gay rappers. There’s going to be more trans people in the industry and what not. Ten years from now, everything that I’m doing won’t even seem like it was shocking.”

Lil Nas X’s comments will no doubt be met with anger by Boosie Badazz, who has been highly critical of X’s openly-gay music and performances — to the point of telling the 22-year-old rapper to “commit suicide.”

Last month, Lil Nas X announced he was moving on from the beef, but Boosie Badazz clearly still feels a way about the young star. Earlier this month, Boosie orchestrated a public stunt where he got into a heated confrontation with a fan of Lil Nas X.

“I know you! You the rapper Lil Boosie that’s talking about my friends and my niece, my niece Lil Nas X? That’s my niece,” the fan began telling Boosie. “Bitch, I’ll beat you up, talk shit now.” Boosie responded, “Whoever the fuck you is, you better get the fuck out my face.”

The man continued to berate Boosie and even took a couple of shots at his “$8 hairline” before Boosie fired off a homophobic slur towards the man. “Fuck you, bitch!” he yelled.

      1. The only problem with that theory is his biggest hit he made independently alone, put it out and it was certified diamond. How was that an industry Plant? You’re an idiot.

    1. LGBT. = Lets Go Brandon Tribe !!! But in all seriousness, I could care less what these people do in their bedrooms. I be trying to tell people, more gays means more single women for men. Think of it like inflation on the dollar. The value of being a single straight man will sky-rocket and the value of pussy will go to shit.

      1. But here’s the negative part. You got so many of them that are still afraid of coming out that they’re still hiding their relationship and possibly infecting their (faux) straight partners with any illness they may catch and they could pass it it to the next person (being careless with their fling and not using protection) and so on. Have to think about that too. I prefer just for people to be upfront and stick to one or the other and not bounce around for that reason.

        1. Other side, I get what youre saying. However, STDs are the spawn of ignorance. Use a rubber and youll be good. Theres a lot of money for big pharma to make if they start coming up with cures, vaccines, etc. But if the right people dont get infected, the push will never happen.

        1. Lol, obviously you dont get basic logic. As for how much pussy I get, I aint no super pimp, but I do my thing.

    2. Hate on boosie all y’all want. If u hating on boosie for speaking out on what all the OG’s are feeling then u aren’t real HIPHOP and u don’t know hip hop culture. Period

      1. The same Boosie who paid a filthy prostitute to sexualy abuse his kids? The same Boosie who had numerous young black men murdered? The same Boosie who has young men doing bids for those murders? The same Boosie who destroyed his community with drugs? The same weirdo who’s obsessed with gay dudes? Yeah that guy has zero credibility, only hoodrats fuck with Boosie. You picked the worst example LMAOOOO. Lil Nas is trash musically but at least he’s not a pos like that angry lil midget Boosie

        1. to be frank they’re both pos that have no real value in society, I just identify more with Boosie since I am masculine.

    3. He’s too late cuz they’re already are too many gay rappers… Lil Uzi Vert,Lil Yachty,Trippie Red, Bobby Shmurda, Young Thug, Gunna, ILoveMakonen,Kevin Abstract, Diddy (the first), ASAP Rocky, and GayFish Ye.

    4. Lil Nas is annoying because he’s acting like he’s the first gay rapper when Kevin Abstract and Tyler came before him. People enjoy Kevin Abstract and Tyler because they focus on the actual music. Nas x is so consumed with this attack on straight listeners that it’s annoying. Like dude, we don’t care if you’re gay, it’s 2021, move on. Not everything has to be a movement. If you’re dancing half naked with other guys in videos, straight people probably won’t listen to your music. It’s not homophobic, do your thing by all means, I’m just not into it because I can’t relate. People are allowed to respectfully not be into something.

    5. How’s is everyone forgetting about Diddy. He was the first gay rapper back in 97 with those gay ass shiny suits and all that dancing and shit.

    6. this was the plan from his inception. he made it seem like he was being discriminated against when he was never a country singer or music artist. lil nas x is what the music industry wants young black artist to aspire for next

    7. This is gonna scare so many people lol. Fact is theres already a ton of gay rappers. Theyre just living in fear of coming out. Youd think people who want others to be proud of who and what they are wouldnt care if one of those things was being gay.
