Lil Meech hasn’t snitched on either his brother or security despite recent claims to the contrary, according to the actor’s lawyer.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (May 11), Bradford Cohen — a federally licensed attorney who represented the BMF star in court — made it clear that a recent YouTube video by Ceddy Nash that claimed his client was a snitch was utter nonsense.

“This is a nonstory and completely inaccurate,” he wrote. “Security was at the airport and immediately took responsibility for the firearm. Security is licensed, bonded, and has a carry permit. This was an error from the start and that is why I got the case dismissed and no one was charged. Clickbait at its finest without knowing the whole story.”

Cohen’s comment came just after the video footage of Lil Meech’s arrest was leaked on Wednesday (May 10). In the video, Lil Meech can be seen pleading his case to the TSA agent.

Ultimately, though, the rising star (real name Demetrius Flenory Jr.) was cleared of all charges. The Broward County State Attorney’s Office decided to drop its original felony charge of “introducing a firearm into the sterile area of the airport” against Lil Meech, which stemmed from an arrest on December 13, 2022.

The actor was placed in police custody at the Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida on that day after airport security discovered a firearm in his carry-on luggage. However, it turns out that the 9MM handgun — and the bag in which it was found — belonged to Lil Meech’s bodyguard.

The bodyguard admitted to owning the gun at the time of the arrest, however, authorities reportedly ignored him.

The BMF star’s attorney Bradford Cohen has since presented prosecutors with a purchase receipt, gun case and license to carry that all effectively prove the gun did not belong to his client. He also explained that the two men happen to own similar carry-on bags and that, on the date in question, Lil Meech accidentally grabbed his employee’s luggage thinking it was his.

Broward County prosecutors have also decided not to move forward with a potential misdemeanor charge against Lil Meech, based on the evidence presented and statements made by Cohen and the bodyguard.

This dismissal prompted a celebratory remark from 50 Cent, the executive producer of the smash Starz series.

The G-Unit boss shared a screenshot of the TMZ headline to Instagram, and declared that it was time for Lil Meech to get back to work, captioning the post: “Ok that’s out the way, now let’s go!”

The 22-year-old used the post as an opportunity to show his appreciation for Fif, commenting, “Your loyalty is unmatched. I love you and i thank u for everything.”
