Lil Kim raised some eyebrows when she wished a monsoon upon Los Angeles to put out the fires, and now she’s clapping back at anyone who didn’t like her choice of wording.
The Junior M.A.F.I.A. legend initially extended her sympathies to victims of the blazes earlier this week, writing: “Been sending strong prayers up for L.A. and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking.”
She then added: “I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon on LA.”
And though she meant well, she did unintentionally wish another natural disaster on the city – and fans in the comments let her know immediately. However, Kimmy Blanco pulled up with the definition of a monsoon to clap back at people saying she was incorrect.

Her initial remarks did not escape the internet’s typically brutal sense of humor, with dozens of fans mocking the Hard Core rapper online.

“Ending one natural disaster with another one is crazy,” one person wrote in reply to her tweet, while another user quipped: “immediate hall of fame tweet.”
Someone else aimed a stray at fellow New Yorker Fivio Foreign, who is known for posting ridiculous stuff on social media, joking: “Tweet like Fivio challenge.”
Others were more forgiving, with one reply reading: “I get what she was trying to say but this is wild [crying face emojis].”
In other news, Lil Kim recently joined forces with Day After Day Productions and Emancipated Icon Entertainment Group and struck a new deal for worldwide touring engagements.

Emancipated Icon is a new company formed by, as the name might indicate, the CEOs of Emancipated Talent (Rich Murphy) and Icon Entertainment (Greg Walker). Day After Day is run by its founder Seth Shomes. Shomes, according to his bio, “became the first agent to build a platform for non-traditional entertainment programming to thrive in the gaming/casino industry” — so it wouldn’t be surprising if an Usher-style Vegas residency for Kim was in the cards.
“I am thrilled to be represented by Richard Murphy and Greg Walker of Emancipated Icon Entertainment Group, alongside Seth Shomes of Day After Day Productions,” said Lil Kim. “With their expertise and dedication, I am excited to take my touring shows around the world, ensuring that my artistry resonates in every corner of the globe. Together, we are committed to creating unforgettable experiences for my fans and pushing the boundaries of entertainment.”
