Los Angeles, CA -

Lil Kim has raised more than a few eyebrows after wishing another natural disaster on Los Angeles as the city continues to battle devastating wildfires.

The Junior M.A.F.I.A. legend made the bizarre comments on social media and initially extended her sympathies to victims of the blazes, writing: “Been sending strong prayers up for L.A. and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking.”

Her post quickly took a strange turn, though, as she added: “I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon on LA.”

While Kim appeared to mean well, a monsoon is categorized as severe wind and rain across a large area and they do sometimes occur in the U.S., including in California during summer months.

Her remarks did not escape the internet’s typically brutal sense of humor, with dozens of fans mocking the Hard Core rapper online.

“Ending one natural disaster with another one is crazy,” one person wrote in reply to her tweet, while another user quipped: “immediate hall of fame tweet.”

Someone else aimed a stray at fellow New Yorker Fivio Foreign, who is known for posting ridiculous stuff on social media, joking: “Tweet like Fivio challenge.”

Others were more forgiving, with one reply reading: “I get what she was trying to say but this is wild [crying face emojis].”

While Lil Kim is relying on faith to alleviate the devastation on the West Coast, locals such as The Game have been on the ground supporting firefighters who have been tackling the deadly blazes for over a week.

In recent social media posts, the Compton rapper was seen personally delivering food, water, hot drinks, blankets and pillows to firefighters on the frontline, as well as posing for photos with the crew.

“Me & my team have been down here with the brave men & women fire fighters on the grown day in & day out assisting anyway I can to make their days a little easier,” he wrote on Instagram. “The hearts & level of humility in each & every soul down here is a beautiful thing to witness & be a part of.”

He added: “My heart goes out to each & every person directly affected & those watching from all over the world who are mentally in pieces over what has happened in my city. I am here for Los Angeles & I will always be here to do my part.”

Snoop Dogg also revealed during a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel that he’s been “pushing buttons” to assist with relief efforts.

“I got a lot of people that’s out there on the ground that’s making things happen. I’m pushing buttons, making things happen, and making sure that the right people are getting the things they need,” he said.
