Coming off her Grammy award-winning collaboration of “Lady Marmalade”, Lil Kim is ready to focus on dropping a new solo album. With this third yet to be titled album, Lil Kim is hoping to collaborate with some of today leading men in hip-hop. “I want to work with Eminem,’cause I just love him”, Kim said Saturday at the ESPN Sports and Music Awards show. “He’s f—ing crazy. Actually I’ve been talking to Dre a lot. And Dre and I are talking about possibly doing some collaborations. Our chemistry in the studio was just like, cool. We’ve been working, you know, trying to cook up some things”.
Other well-known producers Kim has her sights on working with are Timbaland and the Neptunes. “I’ve been having some talks with Timbaland. There’s a lot of producers that are out there that I like”. Not trying to limit herself, Kim readily admits she will work with new collaborators if they have the right chemistry. “I’m not the type of person that whatever’s supposed to be hot at that moment, that’s what I have to run with”, she explained. “The kid from building C down the block could come up to me with a dope ass track and I’m taking it”.
Though the album is still in its early stages, Kim hopes to release the album in November. On June 18, Lil Kim fans can catch her at the nearest movie theater playing a trophy girlfriend to Miguel Nunez Jr. in the movie “Juwanna Mann”.
