Lil Durk has debunked claims that he snitched on the late King Von, but those rumors once again roared to life thanks to claims made by Charleston White.
White, who has become known for his many controversial online outbursts, made the claims in an interview that went viral on Saturday (November 25).

“He [Von] was killed tryna harm a n-gga smaller than him!” he said. “And we gon’ shame Timmy? We don’t shame Durk! Durk beat the case, and puttin’ it on Von! Snitched on his dead potna! C’mon my n-gga! See, Durk wasn’t no killer! Von was!”
He continued: “Rest of them n-ggas wasn’t. They’re singin’ and rappin’. The rest of these n-ggas that singin’ and rappin’ wasn’t no killers! We know for a fact he was. We all know for a fact that the reason King Von was released from jail to become a big star was because the witnesses turned up dead.”
White seems to have been referring to an incident which happened in 2019. In May of that year, Durk (real name Durk Banks) turned himself in to the police after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with a February 2019 shooting outside of the Atlanta restaurant The Varsity.
The Chicago rapper and fellow OTF member King Von — who was killed in November 2020 — were charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, as well as aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

But on October 22 of that year, the charges against Durk and the late Von were dropped due to “prosecutorial discretion,” according to WSB-TV.
In a Dismissal of Charges Motion issued by Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County, District Attorney Fani Willis said: “The facts of this case have been reviewed and, although it appears that probable cause existed for the defendant’s arrest, the decision of the District Attorney at this time is not to prosecute.”
Lil Durk’s attorney, Manny Arora, celebrated the verdict by saying: “While it took three years for the State to make the right decision, in the end the right decision was made and Mr. Banks can finally put this event behind him.”
The state of Georgia ultimately declined to prosecute the case against Von, “having found that the defendant is deceased,” according to the official court ruling.

Earlier this year, Lil Durk also had to defend himself against accusations of snitching. This time, though, the accusation stemmed from a 2013 arrest in Chicago proving he’s not a snitch and didn’t cooperate with authorities working on the case.
The OTF boss shared a document on his Instagram Stories in February, and it noted that he was unwilling to pin a gun from the June 2013 arrest on one of his friends and asked for an attorney while engaging with police officers.

Durk also provided some words of wisdom for his followers when it comes to snitching: “Just shut the f#ck up and you good #thevoice2.0,” he wrote in his IG Story.
