Lil Durk has dropped out of Rolling Loud Miami and canceled a slew of upcoming tour dates due to health-related issues.

Durk announced on Tuesday (July 18) that he’s backing out of his lucrative headlining slot at Rolling Loud this weekend. Billboard also reported that 24 dates on his Sorry For the Drought Tour have been canceled, leaving just five remaining shows on the schedule.

Earlier this month, the OTF frontman checked himself into an Ohio hospital due to extreme dehydration issues where he spent a week rehabilitating. He also missed out on an appearance at the 2023 ESPY Awards.

“Since I’m still awaiting to get full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again, I have no other choice but to cancel my headlining Rolling Loud performance,” Durk relayed in a statement to Akademiks.

“While I’m home resting, I am looking forward to my two homecoming shows on the 11th & 12th in Chicago. For the rest of the country, I’ll be announcing new dates soon. #StillHealing.”

Lil Durk had been slated to hit the road later this month for the Sorry For The Drought Tour alongside Kodak Black, NLE Choppa and DD Osama, but that won’t be happening.

However, Durk will be returning to the stage for a pair of headlining shows in his hometown arena at Chicago’s United Center on August 11 and August 12. He will be the first Chi-Town rapper to do so since Kanye West.

Despite the setback, Smurk reached a new sales milestone in his ever-ascendant career last month thanks to his latest album Almost Healed, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 125,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Of that sum, 122,000 came from 167.82 million on-demand official streams and 1,000 comprised of track equivalent albums (TEA), while pure album sales accounted for 2,000.

That figure marks the largest sales week of Durk’s solo career, surpassing his previous effort, 7220, which opened with 120,500 units last March.
