Lil Debbie is taking her debut album on the road, as she announces the Cakes By The Pound Tour exclusively through HipHopDX.
The California rapper will be promoting her DEBBIE project in nearly 30 cities across the United States and Canada, starting February 24 at Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles and wrapping up April 9 at Nectar Lounge in Seattle. The same day the tour kicks off, Lil Debbie is planning to release her Barong Family EP, a collaboration with five different DJs and producers from her label in Amsterdam.
Joining her for the ride are Demrick, 1Ton from Potluck, Blaze 1 and Lil Bam.
“I’m going out with some cool people who are all dope and have their own niche followings,” Lil Debbie says of her excursion. “So it’s gonna be dope to see all of our worlds collide in a good way!”
Demrick, who released his Collect Calls album last year, also expressed his excitement for the tour.
“Lil Debbie and 1Ton of Potluck are my friends and real stoners,” he adds. “I’m looking forward to putting on a great show and smoking out every city we hit!”
1Ton promises to play a variety of music on his set and leave fans satisfied with what they witness. He is preparing to release a solo album, OGMC, at the end of the year.
“The opportunity to hit the road with two fellow stoners is going to be epic,” he says. “I’m also really excited to debut some of my new solo songs as well as rock some classic Potluck material. My creative contributions to both the live shows and the music for Potluck are way bigger than most people knew. I think the fans are going to be pleasantly surprised.”
