Lil Boosie To Release Two Albums In 2014

Lil Boosie, who announced the release date for one of his upcoming albums yesterday (April 22), says he has two studio albums planned to be released in 2014.

“Right now I think I am gonna drop two albums this year,” he says in an interview with XXL. “Drop one July 15 and I am gonna try to drop in December also.

“Right now, it is a Boosie takeover,” he adds. “I’m tryna soak my raw oats. That’s basically the idea. I am just trying to go in and go hard. You know, I slept too many days.”

Yesterday, Boosie spoke with Complex regarding the July 15 album

“It’s a classic,” he said. “I ain’t wanna come home and play with the mixtape game, I wanted to come home and hit ’em hard, get that machine behind it, be successful and show the world.”

      1. hes just as releavant as everybody else. 50 cent, nick minaj and drake have new tracks on youtube and they dont have as many views as boosies new track show the world.

      1. boosie is independent and he promotes his own music he doesnt rely on major labels to do it for him so nobody expects him to sell as much a major rappers do. he might not sell millions but the advantage about being independent is that you get to keep every penny you make whereas rappers who are signed with major labels need to split half of the money they make with the label and they need to pay a percentage to distributors so in the long run they get fucked out of their own money. when major rappers leave a label they no longer own the copyright to their music either. boosie has never been with a major label and hes never went platinum but yet hes worth a few million and he lives in a mansion. you dont need to sell millions to be rich. if you sell a single on itunes for 2 and say for instance it sold 100,000 units. thats $200,000 in your pocket if your independent but if your signed with a label you need to split half of that money with them because they own the copyright to your music. boosies first album sold 350,000 copies and it was $10 dollars to buy and if you multiply that its a whole lot of money. $3.5 million

Boosie is signed to Atlantic. The details of his contract I don’t know but they’re going to get a cut off of whatever he’s gonna make.
