Lil Baby has proved that a role in the long-awaited ATL 2 film is not in his future after almost taking a nasty fall while roller skating.

The 4PF rapper was caught on camera gathering himself and taking off in the roller skates before losing his footing and having to be held up by another skater.

The person behind the camera was beyond himself, hoping that Lil Baby didn’t crash and burn in his attempt.

Stitched in the video were the words: “Don’t fall twin. We gotta tour this summer [laughing emoji].”

Lil Baby’s hometown of Atlanta has a large skating culture with Cascade being the premier skating rink in the southern metropolis. Cascade was also a key location for the original ATL movie, which hit theaters in 2006.

As for ATL 2, a trailer for the sequel was released in 2021 by director Chris Robinson and sent fans into a frenzy with a heavy dose of nostalgia.

Members of the original cast such as T.I., Lauren London, Jackie Long, Jason Weaver, Albert Daniels and Evan Ross could be seen in the clip walking down a street with Ray Charles’ “Georgia” playing in the background.

At the time, the surprise trailer came on the heels of Chance The Rapper giving the original ATL its flowers on Twitter as one of the most “quotable movies” of his childhood. Chris Robinson replied by teasing the sequel, but few expected it to manifest so quickly.

“I believe ATL is a movie that never truly got it’s flowers,” Chance wrote at the time. “It’s probably the most quotable movie from my childhood.” At this point, however, it’s not clear whether ATL 2 will ever see the light of day.

In other Lil Baby news, the 28-year-old is currently working on a joint album with none other than Drake — according to South African DJ/producer Black Coffee, at least.

Coffee, who worked on Drizzy’sHonestly, Nevermind LP let the cat out of the bag on Podcast and Chill With MacG in March, where he claimed Quality Control co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee told him that Drake is possibly retiring and will release one more album with Lil Baby.

While the news has yet to be confirmed, it wouldn’t be Baby’s first collaborative project. In 2021 he teamed up with Lil Durk for the chart-topping The Voice of the Heroes, and before that he joined forces with Gunna for Drip Harder in 2018.
