Drake and Lil Baby may have a joint project on the horizon thanks to information leaked by Black Coffee, who has producer credits on Honestly, Nevermind.
During his appearance on Podcast And Chill With MacG earlier this week, the South African DJ seemingly revealed that Drizzy and Baby are cooking up a full-length project. The topic came up after Black Coffee brought up a conversation he was having with Coach K of Quality Control.

According to the DJ, he was told Drake is possibly retiring and will get one more album in with Lil Baby.
“He had said to me Lil Baby and Drake are making an album,” Coffee said in the clip. “It’s possible Drake is retiring.”

The news comes after Drake dropped a collaborative album with 21 Savage titled Her Loss. That album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and moved over 404,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, giving it the third-highest opening last year in music. Drake and 21 Savage had their 12th and third No. 1 album with Her Loss, respectively, and earned a total of 514 million on-demand streams.
If Drake and Lil Baby were to join forces on an album, they could expect to achieve the same results. Both rappers have developed quite the working relationship with each other appearing on tracks together such as “Yes Indeed,” “Wants and Needs,” “Never Recover,” “Girls Want Girls” and more.
Drake actually revealed Lil Baby was recording new music in his Toronto mansion last May. The 6 God was on his live stream with Stake when he revealed that Lil Baby had been working up a storm in The Embassy.
“By the way, my brother Lil Baby is in the studio right now. He’s cooking up. We’re working,” Drake stated, adding that he was going to stop the studio session to get Baby to gamble with him.

Lil Baby’s last project, It’s Only Me, debuted at No. 1 on the chart after earning roughly 216,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Of that figure, 209,000 came from SEA (streaming equivalent albums) units, equating to 88.97 million on-demand song streams.
In comparison, Lil Baby’s last solo album My Turn debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2020 with roughly 197,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It went on to top the chart for five weeks, becoming one of the best-performing albums that year.
