Latto has shared that she was once allegedly arrested for bringing a loaded gun to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) on her way to a show.

On Friday (March 17), the “Big Energy” hitmaker tweeted song lyrics from “Boom, Pt. 2,” the new Mello Buckzz song she features on. “Bitches PUSSC ain’t taking NUN!!!” Latto wrote. In response to those lyrics, a fan tweeted additional lyrics to the catchy song.

“I got lok’ed up in da airport.. GODAMN forgot da gun,” the Twitter user said, to which Latto responded: “True story!!!”

After another fan said they needed more info on what went down, Latto shared what happened. “Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours lmaooo booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time! [exhausted emoji] no cap in my rap TUH,” she tweeted.

Latto was recently named as one of the collaborators who’ll feature on Gangsta Boo’s upcoming posthumous album. The LP will also feature SkeptaLa Chat, Crunchy Black, and Run The Jewels.

On the production front, it will include beats from Drumma Boy, Nick Hook, and RTJ’s El-P. Metro Boomin and BeatKing are also rumored to be a part of the project.

Meanwhile, Latto recently shared that she doesn’t charge female up-and-coming rappers for verses.

During an interview with Billboard, Latto noted that after being embraced by the likes of Queen LatifahTrinaCity GirlsCardi BSZARemy Ma and Lizzo, she is determined to extend the same amount of love to up-and-comers like Flo MilliLola Brooke and GloRilla.
