LAPD Sued By Biggie

It has been a little over 5 years since the legendary Biggie Smalls was murdered in Los Angeles. His family has decided that it was the LAPD’s fault, because they should have been able to prevent it. They are suing the LAPD for just that, they claim that Bernard Parks and Willie Williams did not do all they could to protect Big despite knowing that Death Row and a street gang “had consistently exhibited significant animosity” towards the late great.

The suit, which sues for unspecified damages, claims that the LAPD should have known “the atmosphere of violence and alleged criminality.” Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous? What I would like to know is if the plot of his murder was so obvious that LAPD should be held liable, then why didn’t Biggie hire a ton of security? Besides, an atmosphere of violence and alleged criminality is what LA is all about, didn’t they listen to NWA?
