Krayzie Bone Explains Bone Thugs N Harmony’s Rethinking Of “East 1999 Legends”

Last year, Krayzie Bone told HipHopDX that Bone Thugs N Harmony was planning on releasing a $1 million album called East 1999 Legends.

Now, during an interview conducted recently, the B.O.N.E. group member told DX they’re rethinking that a bit, but are still planning on dropping something.

“We wanted to fall back and rethink everything as far as that album [is concerned] but we are going to work on something to get the whole campaign for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame nomination moving and all that,” he said via a segment of Friday’s DX Daily. “It’s going to be in a big movement like that so that’s what I want to just like slow down and re-think everything and make sure that it’s dope.”

Krayzie Bone’s most recent album, Chasing the Devil, is available today.

      1. Niggas hate bone because they the best in the game and they got closer to the lord is why people hate them when you get saved by the lord people that’s not saved look at you different because they are still dealing with the devil bone is changing and you need to do the same

    1. @yeah hoe Speak for yourself I think they have done good job at being consistent. Their worst album is uni 5 worlds enemy and that’s a OK album.

    2. Bone released so much garbage material with mo thugs and every members spin off label that fans lost focus of the original 4 and sometimes 5. They made a bed to lay in. Maybe if they had spend proper PR money and gotten guidance they could still have been relevant like Snoop, Dre and Puffy. They did the numbers, just gave the fans to much garbage in the 2000’s. Can’t feel sorry for the guys that squeezed every dollar out of their hard core fans. Some material was so bad, you questioned whether they even listened to the album at least once before releasing it.

    3. This album is aight at most. It’s not bad but it’s not good either.
I’ve been a btnh fan ever since i heard thuggish ruggish bone on yo! mtv raps back in ’92.
I have all there material. All the underground albums. Everything!
Imo this is Kray’s worst album and worst btnh album, ever.
These ain’t bone beats we’re used to (like uneek’s beats). And that’s oke but not this.
No new cats listen to bone so why cater them instead of current/old listeners/fans.
I don’t like this album. There should’ve been more cuts on there like ‘Like Fire’. That’s bone worthy.
I don’t know how long it took to make this but it wasn’t worth the wait. No hate.

      1. I totally Co-sign ur comment. I was so looking foward to CTD , after all it was years in the making . But It just didn’t deliver at all man, it’s krayzie so the lyrics, concept and flow are dope, but beat selection, and certain hooks are pretty bad.
I’m really disappointed in the outcome of this project, especially with krayzie saying its a masterpiece, sadly far from it.
