Kodak Black may have gotten his big break as a rapper, but newly surfaced footage shows that at one point and time, he was in pursuit of another dream– becoming an actor.
On Saturday (July 8), a video posted to social media shows a confident, young Kodak Black as he was en route to audition for the popular children’s network Nickelodeon.

“Yeah, auditioning with Nickelodeon ’cause you know a new show coming out, feel me,” he said in the clip. “Just, just stay tuned. I’m gon’ be on there. I know how to act.”
While it’s unknown when the video was taped, fans speculated it may have been recorded during the 2000s for the network’s hit sketch comedy show All That — which premiered on the network in 1994 — or the popular sitcom iCarly, which ran for 6 seasons between 2007 and 2012.

In music news, earlier this week Kodak dropped his first album of 2023, titled Pistolz & Pearlz. The new album sports the most features of his recent work: Vvsnce, Loe Shimmy, GorditoFlo, EST Gee, Lil Crix, and Syko Bob.
The album drop comes shortly after the rapper — who was behind bars just hours before he was set to perform at a headlining show — took the stage that same night like nothing happened.
Last month, the “No Flockin” rapper organized the Kodak Black & Friends charity concert, which featured G Herbo, Rico Cartel, iCandy, and Yak’s Sniper Gang collective. However, as previously reported, the 26-year-old was booked at Broward County Jail that same day for failing to check in for a recent drug test.

Fortunately for the Florida rhymer, he was released within 40 minutes and able to take the stage without incident, TMZ reported at the time.
The money raised from ticket sales benefited the Innocence Project, which works to free people wrongfully convicted of a crime.
