Somali-Canadian rapper K’Naan will soon become an integral part of an upcoming marketing campaign by Coca-Cola that will be created in honor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
BallerStatus.com reports that as part of Coca-Cola’s campaign K’Naan has remade his song “Wavin’ Flag” . The original “Wavin’ Flag” track was featured on K’Naan’s second studio album, Troubadour.
“It’s so exciting to be part of this epic journey and see Africa’s excitement for the FIFA World Cup first hand,” said K‘Naan, according to BallerStatus.com.
The new song, which will be titled “Wavin’ Flag (Coca-Cola Celebration Mix),” will be released in 150 countries and will be featured in a number of Coca Cola’s commercials celebrating the FIFA World Cup.
