King Von‘s murder in 2020 hasn’t stopped the late Chicago drill rapper from being a hot conversational topic — and he’s made headlines, again, now that new footage from his time in prison has hit social media.
In a video that leaked on Friday (July 21), Von can be seen getting into a vicious fight with another inmate. The clip, which was reportedly captured in 2016, shows King Von and an associate getting into it with the inmate, which is ultimately broken up by the guards who shoot mace in their faces.

Later on in the video, the rapper (real name Dayvon Bennett) can be seen getting interviewed by the guards, where he admits he doesn’t know why he was maced in the first place. He also complained that he didn’t receive medical attention after he was hit in the face with the painful chemical.
“I got maced,” he said to the sergeant questioning him. “Because I was in the hallway. I was in the barbershop, hit the corner and somebody maced me. I fell. I talked to the counselor but I didn’t get no medical attention.”
This is just the latest in a string of videos that have been released as of late featuring footage of the late rapper’s time behind bars.
On Wednesday (July 19), leaked bodycam footage from November 2017 surfaced on social media, and shows Von informing cops of his purported sexual orientation in an attempt to be transferred to another area of the jail and receive protective custody.

“Because of your sexual orientation, you’re requesting protective custody, is that correct?” one officer asks Von, who replies: “Yes.”
“They could be Christian, they got a problem with gay people. Bye, Lil Josh,” he then says while jokingly blowing a kiss to prove his point. “I’ma fuck you too. They tried to let me suck they dick.”

Plenty of King Von’s friends and collaborators came to the late rapper’s defense and cleared the air regarding his sexuality. Fellow Chicago native No Limit Kyro claimed the real reason Von wanted to be transferred was due to the jail’s rules.
“YALL KNO MY BOA TROLLING TO GET PUT ON ANOTHER DECK STOP DAT BAPPIN,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
OTF affiliate THF Zoo posted a separate clip on Instagram showing an officer saying that Von didn’t want anything but to be moved across the hall.
“Ion see this part of the video on the blogs tho yall try so hard to tarnish bro name knowin he one of the realest,” Zoo wrote. “If u been in that county u kno u can’t move nowhere once u on them decks unless you half dead or requesting PC Von never landed in the pc the whole stay and I witnessed it #GBG.”
