Kim Kardashian has finally revealed why she left her now-ex-husband, Kanye West, twisting in the wind and eventually hitting “rock bottom.”
During an episode of The Kardashians, which aired on Hulu on Thursday (June 1), the reality star shared with her mother, Kris Jenner, that she’d grown tired of all the online attacks that the “Through The Wire” rapper had lobbed against her, and said she felt sorry that she had to be stuck with him for the rest of her life.

“I still feel the need to not talk about it and protect it from my kids and I always will feel that way, but God, if people knew … I just would never do that to my kids. It just is really crazy,” she said in her confessional.
Kardashian then revealed to her mother that she felt West had become a different man than the one she’d married, which is why she had no other choice but to let him suffer the consequences of his actions.

“Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own,” she said. “I used to run around and call everyone behind his back, and be like, ‘It’s gonna be OK, it’s gonna be OK, don’t worry. Just give him another chance.'”
She continued: “I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my day to be the clean-up crew. I just don’t have that energy.”

Lil Mo, however, took to Hollywood Unlocked‘s Instagram page to call shenanigans on Kardashian’s claims. “Bye, he never hit rock bottom,” she wrote. “He just wasn’t rockin’ ya bottom. And shit been quiet. #DontShootTheMessenger”
In November 2022, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian reached a settlement in their divorce after a long road of proceedings being tied up in the court system for over a year and a half.
Per TMZ, the former power couple sorted out the last of the child custody and property issues in court and the settlement was finalized.
Additionally, West agreed to wire Kardashian $200,000 on the first day of each month in child support payments for the foreseeable future.

The pair have four children together ranging from nine-year-old North to the youngest, Psalm, who is three. TMZ also reported that although they legally agreed to a 50/50 timeshare split, the kids will spend most of the time at home in Calabasas with Kim.
