Killer Mike Clears Up Cesar Pina Ties After Real Estate Video Raises Eyebrows

Killer Mike has set the record straight a video surfaced online of him promoting a real estate “opportunity” with DJ Envy’s business partner Cesar Pina, who was recently arrested on fraud charges.

The clip, which began circulating social media on Thursday (October 26), shows the Run The Jewels rapper stood next to Pina outside of a housing complex in Atlanta.

“I haven’t hijacked or kidnapped DJ Envy — don’t worry, he’ll be back,” Mike jokes. “But I’m with my man Cesar right now. I said, ‘Cesar, you gotta show me the gold mines that surround me.’

“We’re on Martin Luther King [Drive], right in Adamsville. I grew up in these apartments doing some things that should’ve got my ass locked up forever. But now I’m here today learning how to invest. So Cesar, what we got?”

Mike then plays hypeman as Pina takes the baton and says: “We got a 28-unit building. Looks like a home run to me. 28 two-bedrooms, town house-style. We see opportunity out here. That’s all we see.”

The Michael MC chimes in: “And we not gonna pay a lot of money for it,” to which Pina replies: “Oh no, that’s key. Under market value.”

“That’s what I’m learning from him […] I’m about to go ride around and look at some more shit,” Mike adds before the clip cuts off.

The video raised eyebrows due to the fact that Cesar Pina was arrested by federal agents and charged with wire fraud earlier this month over allegations he ran a “multimillion-dollar Ponzi-like investment fraud scheme.”

Killer Mike took to X to clear up the notion that he “wanted to give back to his old neighborhood so he brought Cesar aka Shifty McGee along for the ride,” as one viral post claimed.

“A mutual friend told me I should meet him so I did,” he clarified. “We did no business, I never endorsed him and if u watch the video I just looked at some shit he showed me and got outta there.”

Federal authorities claim Cesar Pina, who also goes by Flipping NJ, “exploited [his] celebrity status and social media to develop a devoted following of potential victims.”

“Promising returns that were too good to be true, Pina allegedly defrauded dozens of people of millions of dollars,” New Jersey U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said in a statement.

Although DJ Envy isn’t mentioned by name in the criminal complaint or charged with any crimes, prosecutors say Pina “partnered with a celebrity disc jockey and radio personality” to boost his reputation as a real estate guru.

The real estate developer has also been hit with dozens of lawsuits from alleged investors, some of which name DJ Envy as a defendant.

During an Instagram Live on Tuesday (October 24), Cesar Pina addressed the controversy and claimed that DJ Envy wasn’t directly involved in any of the allegedly fraudulent transactions.

“DJ Envy was never in the room with me,” he said. “DJ Envy has nothing to do with any of these 20 lawsuits of these people who are suing me. It fucking sucks, bro. It pisses me off that all these people are bashing DJ Envy.”

However, Pina rejected Envy’s legal argument that he, too, is a victim having lost $500,000 of his own money, insisting that he was a “partner” and “investor.”

“That’s the dumbest shit I ever heard in my life,” he said. “He’s not a victim. He was my partner, he was an investor.”

    1. This wanksta knew exactly wtf he was into! Black Lives Matter ass n***a!! What did he say? White people, don’t protest with us, donate! To the ‘movement.’ Just your regular everyday american thief in disguise!💩💥🔫

    2. That’s what you get from guys who promote “black capitalism”. So your bosses and landlords will be black, but your life will be just as awful as it is now.

The original panthers like Fred Hampton called out this “black faces in high places” crap way back in the day. It’s no better than having black cops. They’re still cops!!

The only path to black liberation is socialist revolution.

      1. Caesar promoted black capitalism? Or are you referring to Killer Mike? What the hell does this have to do with this article? Strawman Lol. Sounds like you just in your feelings about politics… I agree on the delusion of black capitalism , though.
