Kid Cudi Reveals Life Lessons In Upcoming Memoir: ‘You’ll Learn Your Parents Were Right’

Kid Cudi has teased a bit about what his fans can expect from his upcoming memoir, and they might be very surprised.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday (March 9), the INSANO rapper told fans some of the lessons they might expect to learn from reading about his life.

“Ive read the first chunk of my memoir and I wanna say, to all those kids goin thru it in school or at home, I know it seems like nothing good is gonna happen to u, but those growin pains will mold u into a fully realized well rounded adult,” he wrote.

He continued: “[You’ll] learn ur parents for the most part were right, and everything they did for u was to better ur life. All kids go thru shit, it makes us who we are as adults. We learn and we grow and become better humans becuz of it. My book will bring u into my childhood and show u what made Scott Mescudi the man he is today. It’ll all make sense soon.”

Cudi first announced that he was working on his autobiography back in September 2022, and revealed that he’d be talking about his “troubled boy” beginnings.

Cudi — who lost his father to cancer at the age of 11, and whose deeply vulnerable and confessional music has won him an army of adoring fans — admitted he was nervous about lifting the lid on his private life.

“Started writing the first chapter of my book,” he wrote at the time. “Its comin together really well. Tellin my story in my own words is scary, but I feel like it needs to be told. I feel like everything will make a lil more sense as to why you all met such a troubled boy in the beginning.”

Then, that December, he revealed the name of the book.
