Kid Cudi fans were disappointed to learn that his Moon Man’s Landing Festival had been canceled — but the rapper has revealed he has something special in store for them instead.

On Tuesday (June 27), the Cleveland rapper shared that the festival scheduled in his hometown had been scrapped via Twitter. In a lengthy post, Cudi claimed the city didn’t approve his request for an outside venue, resulting in him canceling the highly-anticipated event.

On the other hand, he noted that he didn’t want to abandon the idea entirely and made plans to hold the event in a local arena.

Unfortunately, details about the new show have yet to be released, but the Entergalatic rapper then declared he had some “good news” for fans, announcing next year’s event will certainly be outside — although, it might have to be slightly outside of Cleveland.

“…Instead of cancelling the whole thing, I decided to have it at the arena because I still wanted to bring something cool to the city, but I knew you guys weren’t feeling it,” he wrote. “Don’t even trip !! Here’s the good news. Im bringing back the fest next year hopefully w some of the same lineup and it will be an outdoor venue.”

Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb would eventually catch wind of Cudder’s tweet and offered to lend a hand for next year’s festivities.

Refunds for the event are expected to be coming soon, but no further information has been given. In a separate post, Cudi recalled his fond memories of festivals and believes Cleveland’s youth need this type of “cool shit” to keep the kids preoccupied and out of trouble.

He also said that he wanted to “elevate the whole experience of coming to Cleveland.”

The festival, which was scheduled for August 19, featured a star-studded lineup including Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, and a gang of other artists. Other names on the lineup included $uicide Boy$, BashFor TheWorld, Siena Bella, and Chelsea Pastel.

In other related news, the rapper recently offered his loyal fanbase another promise: a collaboration with Travis Scott.

The pair previously canceled their joint album, tentatively titled The Scotts, last December. However, Cudi revealed that the two have been working on some new music — a track named “Insano” — during his set at the Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash.

“We got some new joints on this new album, ‘Insano’ coming out later on in a couple months,” the Man on the Moon rapper told the crowd. “You know I feel like why I’m doing these shows right now, I gotta be out here repping for my guy and this shit is for Trav.”
