Kendrick Lamar Has Six Songs On Billboard’s Hot 100

Kendrick Lamar has six songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the week ending April 4.

Each are off of his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly, which is currently the #1 album in the country.

The highest charting track isn’t even in the Top 50, though.

“King Kunta” entered the charts this week at #61, followed by “The Blacker the Berry” at #66. Kendric’s next track, “Alright,” is currently at #83 on the chart.

“Wesley’s Theory,” featuring George Clinton and Thundercat is at #91, then “These Walls” is #94, and “Institutionalized” featuring Bilal, Snoop Dogg, and Anna Wise just cracked the Hot 100 at the #99 spot on the weekly chart.

Lamar’s single “i” appeared on the Hot 100 prior to the release of To Pimp A Butterfly. Despite the song’s popularity, it peaked at #39 on the charts.

Kendrick’s highest charting track is “Swimming Pools (Drank)” – off of his debut major label album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city. The alcohol-oriented song spent 12 weeks on the chart and peaked at #26.

      1. it saddens me that someone with the good taste to have nas, rakim, gfk & big pun in their top 5 would put aubrey “bitch n*gga from degrassi” graham as GOAT

      2. FFS mate, u put Nas Pun and Rakim on chart and you lead them with drake u can’t be serious .. it ain’t money o sells that measure the quality of a rapper its them deep and truthful words my negga… If I’m wrong take one single best album of each of these rappers a compare them with the best sold drake’s album (Nas, Pun,Rakim, Tupac, eminem and even Kendrick’s any album he made) and back again and right a sense comment

    1. Ooh, six, big deal. Drake had all 17 songs from IYRTITL appear on the charts. Wake me when Kendoll does the same.

    2. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS NEW KENDRICK ALBUM IS A LIL ABOVE AVERAGE ESPECIALLY FOR A DUDE WITH SO MANY SKILLS.. GOOD KID MAD CITY WAY WAY WAY UP COMPARED HIS NEW ALBUM … AND HE DIDN’T EVEN OUTSELL J COLE AND NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE REAL KING DRAKE !!!! DRAKE MAKES TIMELESS MUSIC AND LITERALLY CREATES STYLES OF MUSIC AND TALKS TO US KENDRICK DOES IT AS WELL, BUT NOT ON THE SAME LEVEL AS DRAKE OVO SIX GOD AND THAT IS REAL TALK! LETS BE HONEST NOBODY IN THE GAME IS CLOSE TO DRAKE IN ALL ASPECTS OF MUSIC HE IS A GODSEND. KENDRICK TOOK A L WITH THIS NEW ALBUM.

      1. Section 8 is Kendrick’s best album IMO. His new album is hella overrated. Drake hasn’t put out anything close to Section 8 or GKMC, so hop off his dick. Take Care was really good though, it’s the only Drake album with replay value.

    3. Kendrick ain’t sell more den j cole or drake jcole had da best album out the three he still sold less den drake drake appeals more to snow bunnies let’s be real drake always talk about he ain’t fuckin wit niggas den next month he’d hop on dere record cause drake a nigga who jus say shit jus to say shit nigga wrote on started from da bottom I was tryin to get on my own living at my momma house we argue every month
