Kendrick Lamar’s recently released sophomore effort To Pimp A Butterfly has become the first No. 1 album with the word “pimp” in its title, according to Billboard.

Before the release, Pimp C’s 2006 effort Pimpalation was the highest charting album with “pimp” somewhere in the title. That project peaked at #3.

In addition, K. Dot’s latest project is the third #1 album to have the word “butterfly” in its title. Mariah Carey’s Butterfly and Bob Carlisle’s Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace), both released in 1997, also used the insect in their album title.

To Pimp A Butterfly sold a total of 324,403 copies during its first week, making it Lamar’s most successful opening seven days to date. It’s also the Compton, California rapper’s first #1 album. Lamar’s 2012 debut effort good kid m.A.A.d. city moved 241,000 copies during its opening week and topped out at No. 2 on the chart.
