Kendrick Lamar has sealed the deal on a Brooklyn penthouse that now extends his residential flexibility from coast to coast.

On Friday (December 1), The New York Times reported that K-Dot has officially purchased a home in a 106-unit condominium located near the waterfront in Brooklyn Heights.

The Compton native reportedly paid $8.6 million for the New York City apartment after months of browsing in the metropolis. The 36-year-old MC’s new property totals 3,140 square feet across four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.

Furthermore, it comes with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Big Apple’s most spectacular sites such as the Brooklyn Bridge, lower Manhattan, and the East River.

On a more humble scale, Scar Lip recently acquired her first piece of real estate as her career has continued to flourish since her breakout hit “This Is New York” dropped earlier this year. Taking to Instagram in early October, the Bronx native proudly showed off her new place while reflecting on her humble beginnings.

“I went from being in foster care system to now getting my first apartment,” she wrote. “this is my new home yall.” In the comments, she added: “ion gaf if my apartment small soon I’ll have a mansion shit takes time purrr.”
