Hip Hop was well represented at the premiere of All Eyez On Me. 2 Chainz, Big Boi, E-40, DJ Quik, Tyga, Digital Underground, the Lady of Rage and MC Hammer were all in attendance for the official debut of the Tupac biopic on Wednesday (June 14) night.
The All Eyez On Me cast and crew, including leading man Demetrius Shipp Jr. and director Benny Boom, were also on hand for the special event at the Westwood Village Theaters. Ashanti, Floyd Mayweather, Draya Michelle, Lisa Raye and Tara Reid were among the other big names to get a first look at the film.
During the premiere, All Eyez On Me producer L.T. Hutton decided to address the elephant in the room. After years of delays and multiple changes in directors, Hutton made it clear the film was worth the wait.
“You heard a lot of rumors,” Hutton said, according to Variety. “They said I’m crazy. They said I’m difficult to work with. But I say I’m just passionate. And my vision is Pac’s vision.”
All Eyez On Me hits theaters this Friday (June 16). Check out some of the photos from the premiere below.
Fuck wrong with that boy left arm in that picture opening the article?
Boy or girl?
Surprised Rage came. I know her and Pac didn’t really fuck with each other and that she didn’t like him to much he came to Death Row and started running shit.
They’re going to turn hip hop biopics into the new super hero movies if this does decent numbers. Wonder who will play NWA in the reboot 20 years from now and Pac in 2026 when they redo his again. They’re already talking about doing another Biggie biopic more Hollywood than the first one again. Hollywood, running out of ideas since forever.
What’s next? A Kodak Black biopic? lmaoo
