Keke Palmer has been shamed by her boyfriend Darius Jackson for apparently showing too much skin while attending a recent Usher show.
The Nope star had a night to remember at the R&B legend’s Las Vegas residency on Tuesday (July 4), where he serenaded her with a performance of “There Goes My Baby.”
The steamy clip showed Keke wearing a see-through black lace dress and under garment as she hugged and danced next to Usher, who had ventured into the audience to woo the actress.
As the footage quickly went viral on social media, Jackson took to Twitter to share his not-so-impressed reaction to his girlfriend’s wardrobe choice.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” he tweeted on Wednesday (July 5).
After facing blowback for critiquing the mother of his child, Darius Jackson double-downed on his line of thinking.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
Jackson has since deactivated his Twitter account, although screenshots of his tweets can be seen below.
While much of the public came to Keke Palmer’s defense, the multi-hyphenate refused to condemn her man. “Not tryna be the person but… I love my man.(PERIODT!),” she wrote on Twitter in attempt to calm the social media storm.
The public criticism from her boyfriend didn’t appear to ruin her night out in Las Vegas as she showered Usher with praise in an Instagram post following the show.
“I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late! I am telling y’all right now, if you haven’t seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic,” she wrote.
“I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some ass in spades too! Where is that pic of us all together with the King himself?”
Usher replied in the comments section: “The Big Boss!! Thank U for coming.”
Palmer and Jackson have been dating since August 2021 and welcomed their first son together, Leodis, in February.
