Keith Murray has another wild story to tell, this time about himself and Nas almost getting robbed in Queens, New York.

In the latest segment of his interview with The Art of Dialogue, Murray recalled the time he and Esco were caught in a tense predicament. The Def Squad rapper explained he was out shopping with his friend and their kids on Jamaica Avenue when he saw two men off to the side, and kept an eye on them.

Keith Murray believed the two men were plotting to rob him and his friend, so he decided to keep walking in an attempt to shake off the suspected stickup team. Once they got to the car, Murray said he spotted Nas in the street with some heavy jewelry on.

“All of a sudden, I make the left and then in the street comes Nas,” he recalled. “He has on the big bracelet that we used to get. Everybody had the bracelets and everything and then there was another rapper over there — I ain’t going to say his name — and he’s like, ‘Yo, go down there, go that way.'”

Murray said the situation felt weird when the unnamed rapper directed him to go elsewhere. Regardless, he embraced Nas right before someone randomly popped up behind him and took action.

“Nas is coming out the barbershop and we all cross paths, and then Nas is, like, wrestling,” he continued. “I bump into him, he bump into me, and I’m putting the kids in the car. Then Nas is like, ‘No, no, not here, not here, no’ and Nas is wrestling with the bracelet.

“I’m getting in the car, and I’m already looking at these n-ggas trying to play their gangsta shit.”

Murray explained the car he was driving belonged to Erick Sermon, so it was easy for him to get in and out of places without drawing attention. He considered hitting the assailants with the car to help Nas out, but remembered there were kids in the car.

“I’m looking in the rear-view mirror as it’s going on,” he added. “I’m not knowing if the n-ggas is trying to come get me or go get Nas ’cause n-ggas is trying to get whatever n-ggas got. Nas got the bracelet that’s like $4,000 in diamonds and I got a wad of money, and Nas got the wad of money and I got the truck.”

He continued: “If I hit the n-gga then the cops is gonna come get us because the vehicle is going to be at the scene of the crime. So I can’t save Nas. I got to go; I got the kids. But I’m keeping my cool like, ‘Oooh I got the two two right here, oooh these suckers.'”

Murray admitted he couldn’t determine whether he or Nas were set up. He asked the Queensbridge rapper who the guys were, but all he said was it was a “close one.”

The 48-year-old has been making headlines with his anecdotes of late. One of the biggest talking points from his conversation with The Art of Dialogue was the alleged sexual encounters he had with Foxy Brown and Shawnna, which both women denied.

Last week, fellow New York rapper Saigon claimed Keith Murray texted him saying he’s on a mission to go viral overnight by trolling people.
