Kehlani has not a care in the world about her former partner YG being in a relationship with her friend and collaborator Saweetie.
During a chat with Hot 97’s that was published on Tuesday (June 25), the Bay Area native opened up about her relationship with the pair after host Nessa complimented her for being the “cool” ex.

“Well because I’m a lesbian, so why would I care about any male exes?” the 29-year-old said laughingly. “I also don’t care about what any of my exes are doing – male, female, anything. My goal is everybody to be happy. Even when I’m with someone, if we decided that we’re not mutually happy, we really shouldn’t be together and we should go be with people who make us happy. And I love Saweetie!
“I think she’s so cute and so fine. We have a song together. We hang out. She’s cool. And they make so much sense. Like knowing them both, I’m like, you know what? I really like this. I’ve told him like, ‘I like this a lot. Y’all look cute together.’”

Kehlani also noted that she’s not the jealous type, adding: “I just quite frankly have too much pride for that. That’s embarrassing. If I was bothered, you would never know! That’s why I only crashed out once.”
YG and Kehlani were in a relationship back in 2019, before the Compton native was seen getting close to another woman in a nightclub. Though he later claimed he was drunk and that he still “loved” Kehlani, they broke up shortly afterwards.
YG and Saweetie seemingly got together in 2023, or at least that’s when they made their relationship public, but they have been on and off since.
Following reports of a split earlier this year, the “FDT” rapper left a okay-hand-genture emoji in the comments section of a gym selfie that Kehlani posted. Soon after, he noted that the “only block [he was] tryna spin” was on Saweetie.
Months later, at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, YG brought out the “My Type” rapper and publicly declared his feelings toward her in front of a packed crowd.
Though the two didn’t perform together, they shared a brief moment on stage and set the record straight regarding their romance.

“Do I look good?” Saweetie asked as the audience cheered her on, after which YG got really close to her and answered: “Hell yeah, you fine as hell.”
As she walked off, the Southern California native walked behind her and repeatedly said “I love you, girl,” to which she responded: “I love you too, baby.”
