Kanye West‘s artwork for this controversial new single “Cousins” appears to have been selected for its association with Adolf Hitler.

The incestuous track can now be found on streaming services complete with artwork which is a picture of Leda and the Swan by Paul Mathias Padua.

The image depicts a German woman being penetrated by a swan and was originally exhibited in 1939 in Munich.

The painting was subsequently purchased by Hitler’s private secretary Martin Bormann who gifted it to Hitler.

The Nazi dictator displayed the painting in one of the bedrooms of his mountainside retreat near the border of Austria.

Padua is also infamous for painting numerous pieces of Nazi propaganda during the Second World War.

It’s not the first time West has used artwork with links to Nazism.

The artwork for Vultures is a piece from the 1830s by landscape painter Caspar David Friedrich, who is known as one of Adolf Hitler’s favorite artists and whose work was used to promote Nazi ideology in the 1930s and ’40s.

The Vultures artwork also appears to be inspired by Norwegian black metal band Burzum, with Kanye and Ty Dolla using a typography often seen on their album covers.

Burzum are also controversial due to their association with Nazism, with band founder and sole member Varg Nikernes being a noted neo-Nazi and convicted murderer.

“Cousins” has also generated intense controversy due to its lyrical content.

On the track, West raps: “Hanging with my cousin, reading dirty magazines / We seen some ni-gas kissin’, we ain’t know what that shit mean / Then we start re-enacting everything that we had seen / That’s when I gave my cousin head, gave my cousin head / Gave my cousin head, I gave my cousin head / I gave my cousin head.”

West also wrote on social media about the apparent revelation: “This song is called COUSIN about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore. Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw.”

West continued: “My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different. My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins dick till I was 14. Tweet sent.”
