Kanye West Reveals His Seven-Figure Performance Fee

Anyone looking to book Kanye West for a concert is going to have to cough up a pretty penny. Fans often wonder what rappers charge for features or concerts, and RapThoughtsDaily attempted to put together a list of artists’ performance fees and Kanye replied to the Instagram account correcting their $1 million severe low-ball.

“Please change this my performance fee is $8 million,” Yeezy allegedly messaged the account to prevent the misinformation from spreading.

The article most likely came across Kanye’s radar since he actually follows the account on Instagram. RapThoughtsDaily will need to get back to the drawing board with Yeezy claiming to earn $8 million per show.

The Chicago-bred billionaire has only one show on the horizon when he’ll take the stage as a headliner at Rolling Loud Miami later this month, but it’s unclear how much the festival will be paying him.

The alleged price tag lines up with TMZ‘s report from earlier this year when they claimed that Kanye gave up an $8 million payday after dropping out of Coachella. The festival was also slated to dish out about $500,000 in production costs so Yeezy could build the proper stage he had in mind.

It’s rare to have these numbers confirmed by artists’ teams but some rhymers will drop hints in their music. Tyler, The Creator confirmed he gets a million dollars per show on 2021 Call Me If You Get Lost track “LEMONHEAD.”

“How much it cost? Shit, I don’t know, nah/But I know that stage a million a show, true story,” he raps on the 42 Dugg-assisted track.

    1. 8 million! For this GayFish… He’s definitely not worth that. Maybe 10 years ago buy now Hell No. He’s probably only worth a 750,000 per performance nowadays. You could pay for an entire festival lineup with that price and be far better entertained.

      1. In this society, an entertainer is worth ad kuch as their fans are willing to pay… and Kanye fans are often like Eminem stans. They’re hard-core about it. I agree, I’d say Kanye isn’t worth that kind of money, but he definitely is sadly a better rap headliner than the majority that still perform (most rappers aren’t anything special lives. Seen kendrick twice. He was WAY better back in 2012 live doing section 80. Saw him after tpab, and the performance was much more of a big stage production, than a raw dude who could spit amazingly on his own)

        1. He’s still better than Drake. I actually about fell asleep at his last performance at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif during SuperBowl weekend. Don’t understand how anyone can stand see him live. He’s so boring. The crowd was half dead already but as soon as he started performing, I swore I thought I was going to need a Red Bull IV to get me through.

            1. My girl wanted to see him so I got stuck buying the tickets and I’m not a big fan of his music but I figured I’d try to enjoy it with her. Boy, was I in for a long night. I’ll never go to another one of his concerts or shows again that’s for sure. I rather be forced to sit through a Beyonce concert than ever experience this definitely. At least she can sing and she does have some thick bad ass back up dancers that are good eye candy.

    2. He’s not even entertaining at all. His last 5 albums have been garbage and he’s been a egomaniac ever since his mom died and it’s gotten worse now that Kim Kardashian gave him the boot. He’s a lost cause.

    3. YoungButtPlugga ain’t appearing in nothing except jailhouse gay porno movies. He’s done, career over.

    4. Kanye puts on a great show everyone who paid for a ticket is happy. Never once heard someone say Kanye put on a bad show or a boring show. All these proud boy commenters make me sick. let me tell you something. if you know one of these proud boys, you work with one, you better let them know that the time is up. we’re not taking this sht no more. you little nerd boys are going to hurt the worst of all

      1. Calm down GayFish. We get it, you love ye. But he’s overrated and fell off a decade ago. Also wtf is up with your proud boy obsession? Is that some kind of fetish or something?

    5. so just to break even promoters need 100K people to pay 80 a ticket, im sure hes gotten it a few times so those above him can clean up some money but if the venue hold less than 30K its doubtful not wise biz to risk 8m to make 8.1M lmao

    6. The key is to do songs white people can feel. Larger population and audience to cater to. I see him making 8 mill a show or week or month or year. Money we will never see ourselves. I do miss the old Kanye tho.
