Kanye West’s presidential campaign treasurer Patrick Krason has resigned after he told a federal regulator that Ye’s campaign advisor Milo Yiannopoulos had possibly broken the law.
Despite reports suggesting he had given up on his 2024 run, Ye reportedly re-entered the race a few days ago. However, he is now down a campaign treasurer as Krason said in a letter addressed to the rap mogul that Yiannopoulos likely broke campaign finance laws.

Per POLITICO, Krason’s letter said that Yiannopoulos was set to fire him, and that prior to his resignation he learned that Ye’s campaign advisor made a “potentially serious criminal transaction” involving the Kanye 2020 campaign.
Krason claimed that last November Yiannopoulos “submitted falsified invoices and for expenditures that would be deemed unlawful.”

The letter specifically noted an expense for a “digital asset” where Yiannopoulos allegedly sought reimbursement from both Kanye 2020 and the campaign of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia for whom Yiannopoulos had previously worked with.
The outlet then learned via FEC (Federal Election Commission) filings that Yiannopoulos was paid $40,000 in December 2022 for “campaign wrap up services,” as well as nearly $10,000 a month prior for “domain transfers.”
Yiannopoulos denied any wrongdoing, telling POLITICO that he doesn’t “give any credence or ridiculous, ridiculous and easily disproven claims.” He implied the allegations were a “venomous” attempt by the former treasurer to lash out at him.
Ye could not be reached for comment, but this distressing news comes after he had previously bowed out of the 2024 race due to reported infighting among his campaign team. According to Forbes, Yiannopoulos was hired as campaign manager after Ye reportedly had a fallout with alt-right extremist Nick Fuentes.

The outlet also reported that West’s hiring of the British provocateur came after he “fell out” with Donald Trump.
The infighting apparently left a bad taste in Ye’s mouth, as he allegedly told documentary filmmaker Adam Camacho, who was hired to document the presidential campaign, that he just wanted “to be left alone.”
