Kanye West’s Late Registration celebrates its 10-year anniversary Sunday (August 30). To honor the award-winning album, The Grammys created an infographic detailing the samples used on the project.
The graphic shows 11 of the 21 tracks from the album.
“Gold Digger” samples Ray Charles’ “I’ve Got a Woman” from 1954. This is connected to “Addiction” because “Addiction” samples “My Funny Valentine” by Etta James, who covered “In The Evening,” which was originally Charles’ song.
Late Registration sampled seven music genres across the span of 41 years.

Kanye never was original. Every song is sampled. Never original. Gay boy
yeah, just like those gay boys DJ Premier, RZA, Pete Rock, Marley Marl and Q-Tip
Hahahahaha Nag killed it. Epic comment
I know right? A hip-hop producer that samples music, imagine that.
Kanye always had a great ear. That why he’s the goat.
Kanye’s best album in my opinion.
