    1. Next year Jermaine, next year. You’ll take it all best collab with K. dot, best rap performance best all ya’ll see

      1. …except that he ain’t really gon win shit. Niggas thought Cole World would be crazy… til it came out. Ya’ll thought he was gonna bring hip-hop back… he ended up dropping a album with songs for bitches, songs about bitches n a couple of bitch ass nigga joints. Kendrick shouldn’t even fuck with Jermaine, he got enough niggas around him that make far better music than J. Cole (Black Hippy). Cole failed last year, he will fail this year too.

    2. Lol Wayne making comments about not watching the Throne and Ye and J win a grammy, Wayne ain’t win shit and he was at the grammys

      1. Carter 3 was understandable because there was incredible hype for the album, somehow.. Wayne knows how to hype his albums. then he released Lollipop/A Milli which made cuckoo bucks in downloads..

but yeah he prolly won’t get a grammy again.. maybe for a single at most

    3. Kanye West is on his way to Legendary status whether you ike him or not, His music is to good to ignore. True artist in a sea full of fake industry people.

      props to The Throne.

wayne takes an L’ he was there and didn’t win sh1t while Ye and Jay wining awards and they not even there. boss sh1t.

      1. I agree the grammys on’t dictate whos a better artist.

Kanye may not be a top 5 “rapper”

But to say he isn’t a top 5 Hip Hop Artist all time is ridic.

From his songs, to his production, to his antics, his style (like it or not)

He has added more to hip hop than mostin his generation.

      2. @The last Anonymous:
Finally someone said it right. I totally agree. From the point of view of a rapper, he probably is not the best, Jay-Z, Nas, B.I.G. and so on are still technically better on the mic. But looking at musicians, Kanye West surely is one of Hip-Hop’s greatest artists and thus one of music’s greatest artists… of all time.

      3. Anyone who says Grammy’s dont count is a fool.Nothing is more satisfying to an artist than the recognition from their peers. The prestige and honour is what every artist or actor yearns for.

      4. Don’t be foolish….None of Kanye’s albums go done into history…..U can’t place any of his albums up there with the likes of Slom Shady Lp, The Chronic, DoggyStyle, Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, MMLP, All Eyez on Me, Me Against the world, Straight outta compton, illmatic, stillmatic, it was written……Etc

He is a good musician…..Lady Gaga is a good musician….But u can place in the midst of dignitaries like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Lauyrin Hill….Etc.

Kanye is one of the hottest now(If not the hottest), So is lady Gaga.

      5. @I doubt – Your list was only comparing them from a lyrical perspective.

Rappers Better Than Ye in Terms of Raps, Beats, Messages, Innovation, Impact:

None that I can think of, tbh.

    4. lil gayne iz now watchin da throne get all da grammyz dat he thought he wuz gon win. jay! and hiz team stayz winnin. he beat eminem last year 3 grammyz to 2, and he and ye beat da whole ymcmb camp last nite. haterz stay hatin. “it wuz all good a week ago, niggaz feel they selvez, and watch da throne drop, niggaz they kill themselvez”

      RN/GM BITCH! #YMCMBLOST

    5. OK I ADMIT IT, JAY AND YEEZY DO HAVE A NICE FLOW. MBTF WAS A HIPHOP CLASSIC AS MUCH AS I HATE TO SAY!! MAYBE THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR YMCMB? I’M MOVING CAMPS!

    6. stay losin wayne in ur clown ass spongebob shoes… haha how embarrassing for him not winnin a single damn thing after knockin on watch the throne the day before

    7. yeah where is that groupie always talking that ymcmb swag shit lost 4 words ymcmb camp did’nt win shit….. lmao you can fool this young dumb kids who don’t know real hip hop what now so icy boi talk that shit now tell birdman to go put a grammy tattoo on his head ba’itchhhhhhhh

    8. CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS BUT AS JAY Z SAID “MEN LIE WOMEN LIE NUMBERS DONT”

YMCMB GOT THE BEST SALES CANT WAIT TILL THEY COME OUT AGAIN THIS WEEK

    9. GOT TO GIVE KANYE CREDIT HE REALIZED HE DONT GOT IT ANYMORE SO HE HAD A TON OF PEOPLE WORK ON HIS ALBUMS SO THEY COULD SOUND DECENT. HIS SOLO PROJECT WAS WAY BETTER THAN WATCH THE THRONE. BUT LIKE I SAID SO MANY DAMN PEOPLE WORKED ON MBDTF.

      1. for the first time, u sound reasonable. props!!!! i co-sign….ye cant make a decent album without a shit load of guests.

      2. the producers have all said that MBDTF was all Kanyes visions he brought in other muscians because they bring different sounds to the table a producer is like a director in a movie thats what Kanye does. its a hugh producton that expands his sound. so your wrong once again. why are you so mad fakkit?

its because the music is rich and full of life istead of those cheap beats YMCMB have huh?

and judging his solo work its his best work so far in his career lyrically.

      3. Kanye actually has some sort of production role in his albums, unlike Wayne.

Just because Kanye takes the time to incorporate actual instrumentation into his compositions and doesn’t just hand select a beat made by someone else using MIDI instruments doesn’t make his music any less valuable just because he didn’t contribute EVERY LITTLE DETAIL to the song.

      4. KANYES ALBUMS ARE HIS OVERALL VISIONS FOR THEM NO ONE HAS EVER CREATED A SUCCESSUL, MEMORABLE, CLASSIC, ALBUM WITHOUT SOMEONE ELSES INPUT OF ANY KIND

    10. Congratulations to all of the Grammy winners. They all deserved it.

@YESSIR Y U Mad? Can’t accept the fact that Wayne and YMCMB lost at this year’s Grammys? Seriously, stop with the hate. You always find some excuse to hate on any rapper that’s not on YMCMB/MMG. “He can’t do a good album without features,” what kind of bullshit is that? He had a vision of doing a musical masterpiece and he recruited musicians of all genres of music to create what would be MBDTF. Besides, Rick Ross can’t even make a decent album/mixtape without a gangload of features. And Lil Wayne’s last album (Carter 4) had a bunch of features. So don’t be hypocritical.

    11. No wonder Cee Lo didnt win best R&B album. His shit wasnt even in the right category. That album was no where near pop, he took it back to 50 years of R&B soul. Hate the grammys

      1. Adele’s album had 50s soul R&B samples too but her piece wasn’t in R&B either…I think they got it right in his case

    12. 18 grammys for Kanye….most in hip hop history…there’s only three black artists with more;
      Quincy Jones 27
      Stevie Wonder 22
      Aretha Franklin 20

      That’s crazy….Right behind him is Beyonce with 16….Jay Z has 14

      Grammy Family

    13. I think it’s the best way to describe Kanye. He’s not a top 5 rapper. but he’s one of the top 5 in the rap game right now. complete package.

I have to laugh tho that the one night he wins a bunch of Grammys, the mo’fucka no-shows

      1. Kanye isn’t top 50, idiot. He’s easily the hottest now…But not of top 50 of all time. I remember 50cent was damn hot in 03 and 05.

      2. 18 grammys speaks for itself, sucka

oh I know, grammys prolly don’t mean shit to you, but it is what it is.. Kanye had a huge impact on the rap game so far and he ain’t even done

    14. Lmao!!! @ . “Niggas thought Cole World would be crazy… til it came out. Ya’ll thought he was gonna bring hip-hop back… he ended up dropping a album with songs for bitches, songs about bitches n a couple of bitch ass nigga joints….”

I thought I was trippin.. When I heard he was the one on tht WORK DAT trak I threw up a lil n my mouth.. Same with tht trey songs joint he got.. Jayz was n his ear big time about makin singles as u can see.. “Gone head n get ur money up on a couple singles..” Im sure thts wht Jay said.. But this doesnt seem to b who’s goin to bring back hiphop for the east coast.. Or mayb its the mixtapes.. I dunno..

But if this is his entry in the industry then gone.let french montana get off .. at least he got the streets…

    15. Much deserved for Kanye, he clearly has been working hard and making some good music..To bad tho, he wasnt there but the Grammys arent dat important anyway after u win 1 cuz most of the time, it’s about popularity and sales rather than quality of the albulm..Quality>Quantity anyday but $ makes the world go round

      1. He probably chose not to go to avoid another faux-pas altogether, and so that people miss him–it’s a lover/hate affair or not.

    16. @Brandon.
Beats? Beats counts? Than Dr Dre is d goat. message????wtf, kid? What Message? U dumb kid….Go listen to section 80. Or greatest story never told. Innovation??? U make me laugh. Impact? Rofl.

    17. I guess the Undun–The Roots, didn’t qualify as a Grammy contender due to the release date. They better not sleep on it!

      1. Your Music sucks thats why it gets no recognition outside of teeny bopper CD purchases. YMCMB will not have a legacy once the sales dry up because they dont say shit in the music to elevate the culture..

      2. Aye Man it’s aight. At least Nicki was nominated. That’s cool right? I mean wayne and drake cool with not being the best anyway so YMCMB still getting money according to Birdman, which I believe. I mean a grammy only mean your the best, YMCMB fans don’t care about being the best.HAH!!! Maybe next year Sucka!!! G.O.O.D Music about to take off!!!!

    18. 4th album to win a grammy for. Kanye is bigger than Michael or the beetles… actually no, but he’s at least the third most popular artist, but number 1 for critical acclaim, and respect from true music lovers.

      1. People always thought I was crazy, but I think Kanye, by the end of his career, will be the closest to universal appeal other than Michael Jackson. Nowhere close, but he’ll be the closest.

    19. YALL WORRIED ABOUT YMCMB BUT THE REAL TRAGEDY IS NAS. I NOW HATE NAS. HE TOOK THAT MONEY FOR A CONCERT IN AFRICA AND NEVER GAVE IT BACK. THE CONCERT PROMOTER AND HIS KID ARE STILL BEING HELD CAPTIVE. IT HAS BEEN 45 DAYS HOW CRAZY IS THIS? WHAT IS WRONG WITH NAS HE IS A WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP

      1. FUCK OFF DIRTY HOMO, NAS KILLS IT OVER ALL YALL WACK ASS YMCMB FAGS. LIL GAYNE AND RICKY PRISON GUARD ROSAZ ARE NO SKILLS POP ARTISTS BUILT FOR 15YO KIDS WITH HORMONE PROBLEMS. NAS IS A LEGEND WITH SOME OF HIPHOP’S MOST CLASSIC ALBUMS, SHOW SOME RESPECT YOU BIYATCH.

    20. GOOD music is number 1 right now sweeping up the grammys hell even bon ivor got one the death of YMCMB has begun Shady 2.0 top dawg ent n GOOD music taking over

    21. It’s interesting that the author of this article failed to mention that Lil Wayne, and more importantly YMCMB, failed to pick up any Grammy’s despite Wayne’s recent outbursts and the ongoing tensions between the two powers.

    22. Mbdtf, a classic????? Lol. I don’t know tho, but only 5tracks made my playlist. Dark fantasy, power, devil in new dress, So appalled, gorgeous!! All of d lights, blame game are for pop rap fans.

      1. Graduation was a very anthemic album, Kanye wanted to make beats on that album that would sound amazing in a stadium(can’t tell me nothing, big brother) stadium statusssssss…

but better than MBDTF? bit of a reach there, but it’s down to opinion. both productions on either albums were superb
