Kanye West and Don Lemon have exchanged words over the rapper’s controversial appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards alongside his wife, Bianca Censori, who exposed her naked body on the red carpet.
Censori’s provocative see-through outfit led to rumors circulating that Kanye had been kicked out of the ceremony, but it appears that he left on his own accord and never planned on entering the venue.

In a since-deleted video filmed during the awards show, Lemon said: “I’m hearing that Kanye wanted to do the red carpet and he wasn’t invited. That’s what I’m hearing from the folks here at the Grammys.
“And then he left. Maybe was escorted out, that’s what folks are saying. But I’m not sure. Maybe he just wanted to do the red carpet. But he is definitely gone.”
The former CNN host later cleared up the speculation, saying: “We saw a spokesperson for Kanye and they said Kanye was indeed invited — they said that’s a fact — and that he was not kicked out.”

However, that did not stop him from facing the wrath of the famously outspoken rapper.
In an Instagram post on Monday (February 3) following the Grammys, Kanye took aim at Lemon by writing: “This the goofball that started the rumor that me and my wife got kicked out of the Grammies 3 decades of innovating music and they always KOONS like this.”

The journalist then hit back in a post of his own, saying: “Kanye… Yee… Ye — whatever your name is. I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys. I actually corrected it. I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere.
“So first of all, get your shit straight. And you, of all people, calling me a coon [laughs]. Negro, that Make America Great Again hat must be too tight on your head.”

Kanye West and Don Lemon actually briefly spoke on the Grammys red carpet, with the rap legend promising that his new album Bully will arrive “this year.”
He has since revealed that the project will drop on June 15, coinciding with the birthday of his eldest daughter North.
Even without his online spat with Lemon, Kanye and Bianca Censori’s appearance at the Grammys might be the night’s most talked-about moment.
Walking the red carpet as a couple, Censori arrived wearing a huge fur coat, only to remove it in front of photographers to reveal a completely see-through slip.

Ye, who recently returned to X (formerly Twitter) after previously being banned from the platform for posting a swastika, later shared a number of steamy pictures of his wife in her “outfit.”
One image shows the couple passionately tongue kissing, while another depicts Kanye kissing Censori’s neck from behind.
