Julio Foolio‘s fifth murder suspect, Davion Murphy, has finally been captured by police after several months on the run from the law.
Murphy has been wanted in connection with the murder of the Florida rapper for over six months but had avoided capture until now.

The 27-year-old was arrested by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Monday (January 6) at a Jacksonville apartment complex before being booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
“This arrest highlights our commitment and perseverance to solving this murder,” said JSO Director of Investigations and Homeland Security Mark Romano. “While it took some time, JSO and partners worked daily to hold these individuals accountable.”
Murphy will now face trial for his alleged role in the murder of Julio Foolio, who was gunned down outside a motel in Tampa in June 2024.
The four other suspects were arrested last July, with three (Isaiah Chance, Alicia Andrews and Sean Gathright) pleading not guilty while Rashad Murphy (Davion’s brother) explores an insanity plea.

Rashad Murphy was also arrested later than the other three after being involved in a dramatic standoff with a SWAT team at an apartment complex in Jacksonville that lasted several hours.
Police said the U.S. Marshals Service helped locate Murphy in his apartment complex, and while investigators “spent hours” trying to talk him out, eventually SWAT members “used tactics” to force him out.
Gathright has also been linked to a past attempt on Foolio’s life dating to October 2023 when the rapper was shot in the foot.
According to local news outlet News4Jax, when arresting him, police found Gathright with shell casings from a gun related to the October attack.

He was taken into custody during a traffic stop where cops found a 9mm pistol, a rifle and nine spent cartridge casings from the larger gun.
The police claim the casings match those found in two previous shootings — a homicide from May this year and the October 2023 shooting of Foolio.

When raiding Gathright’s house, police also found what is known as a brass catcher, a device used to prevent shell casings from being left where they are fired.
Foolio was murdered while celebrating his 26th birthday. His body was found in a Holiday Inn parking lot and two other people were injured in the shooting.
