Juice WRLD was not only prolific but also versatile, and a close collaborator of his has now revealed how broad the late musician’s range truly was.
On Saturday (July 1), a Twitter user posted: “Music is so trash right now, I miss juice, ik he would never follow this punk/rock theme that all these artist are trying to follow now, that era needs to be left alone we want real quality rap music!!!”

Record producer Nick Mira, who helped develop the Illinois rapper’s style, was quick to shut down the notion that Juice only operated within one lane.
“Juice was heavily influenced by punk, rock, alternative, emo music,” he wrote on Sunday (June 2) in a quote tweet. “we breathed it naturally and expressed it in a rap form/pop form. Juice’s music is the epitome of multiple genres forming a unique sound.”
He concluded by saying: “he has hundreds of rock songs in the vault of all different subgenres.”
Over the past few years, punk and emo have enjoyed a resurgence through Hip Hop. Whereas not everyone is thrilled about this crossover, it has given the culture a new image that continues to bring in millions of new fans.
Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty and Machine Gun Kelly are among the many rappers who have embraced external influences and rebranded themselves in the process. This takes shape in non-traditional forms of Hip Hop or, in some cases, a complete departure from it.
Juice WRLD, who tragically passed away in 2019, has been immortalized by his vibrant music and the multifaceted skillset that birthed it. In May, he reached a significant milestone with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
According to Chart Data, the Legends Never Die rapper has now sold over 100 million RIAA-certified units. A combination of the late rapper’s albums, singles, and features contributed to his music ranking distinction.
