JT has put her BET Awards drama with Lil Uzi Vert behind her and is now putting her energy toward the release of a new single.
On Monday (July 10), the City Girls group member announced she’ll be dropping a new single “No Bars” on Friday — making it her first in years.

“B!tches always in my business” ….NO BARS FRIDAY! (tongue-out emoji) [Pre-Save link in bio],” she captioned the post, unveiling the cover art for the project.
In 2019, fresh off her release from prison — where she served more than one year for credit card fraud charges — the Miami rapper dropped “JT First Day Out,” to cement the occasion.

News of JT’s return to the solo music scene comes on the heels of her relationship drama with her boyfriend at the BET Awards where she was filmed angrily throwing a phone at the “Just Wanna Rock” lyricist and calling them “a bitch-ass n-gga” and “a groupie” while sitting in the audience.
Rumors suggested JT was upset that Uzi posed for a photo with Ice Spice, who they name-dropped while performing during the awards show. “I’m fucking the dogshit out of this bitch, her wig came off twice/ She had a lil’ fro, she look like Ice Spice,” they rapped on the song.
However, a rep for JT told TMZ her blow-up “had nothing to do with Ice” and instead she “had become frustrated when she lost her seat after the audience shuffled around.”
Meanwhile, JT’s better (group) half, Yung Miami, was recently spotted with her ex, Southside in the same studio. Leading fans to believe new music is on the horizon.

Both music creatives took to their respective Instagram stories to post their whereabouts.
While Yung Miami simply fluffed her hair and showed off her beat face, Southside opted for a tone that many use when they’re in grind mode by saying, “Still locked in no days off.”

What appeared to be similar between both of their postings was their acoustic panel background which is a component that is used in many high-quality studios.
The duo share a three-year-old daughter named Summer.
