Joe Budden believes Yung Miami’sCaresha Please podcast has come to an end, and he has no qualms about how much that brings him joy.

Budden pulled up on the Need to Know Podcast crew earlier this week where he dished on a slew of topics including Yung Miami’s podcast. After revealing that he thinks the popular REVOLT show is finished, he gleefully joked about Yung Miami receiving any more awards.

“She might not see another list in her life,” Budden began. “I was thinking about that on the way here because I love her show so much. I do. I love her and I love her show. I think she good. I think it’s needed for that. When we getting another one of those again?”

The rapper-turned-podcast host proceeded to sing along to his own edition of Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” mid-sentence.

He then continued: “I love when a two-time award-winner — I love when they just it’s over now. She won the award two years in a row. Now I don’t care about that stuff. However, you know when there’s a glitch in the matrix. Yeah, get the fuck out of here.”

Caresha Please took home the prize for Best Hip Hop Platform at the BET Awards in 2022 and 2023, which some speculated came because of her ties to Diddy and REVOLT. This year’s win came over heavyweights such as Drink ChampsThe Breakfast ClubMillion Dollaz Worth of Game and The Joe Budden Podcast.

The morning after the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, N.O.R.E. tweeted: “So nobody gonna say nothing bout the podcast /media award?  Ok me neither !!!”

Charlamagne Tha God also addressed the loss a little later on air, saying: “If Caresha Please did come out weekly, I won’t have a problem with it, y’know what I’m sayin,’ because it is that good when she drops, right, but I just don’t see enough of it for her to win Hip Hop Platform of the Year two years in a row.”

Yung Miami defended herself from the critics during an appearance on The Breakfast Club in October, saying: “People always saying I don’t deserve stuff. Why don’t I deserve anything?” she said. “I work hard. I deserve everything. When I just did my first live podcast, it was around the corner. It’s new. We’re in a new time. We’re in a new generation. I’m bringing something new, so why I don’t deserve it?”

Between the Hip Hop Awards backlash and the non-stop scrutiny on her love life, it seems Miami is over social media and has hinted at taking a break .

On Friday (December 22), she took to Twitter with a brief announcement: “The internet to toxic im leaving yall in 2023 y’all got it.”

While she didn’t point to a specific incident as the reason for her decision to walk away from online spaces, Yung Miami has seen her fair share of online drama in the last few months.

First, the City Girls’ third studio album RAW (Real Ass Whores) was met with a heavy dose of criticism and ridicule after failing to perform as many would have expected. Days later, a video of Akademiks lampooning the project sparked a war of words between the controversial media personality, Saucy Santana and Yung Miami.

Caresha has even had Blueface‘s mother Karlissa and Kanye West‘s daughter North West come for her neck online.

Online drama and dormant podcast aside, Yung Miami is reportedly set to turn her focus in 2024 to her reality show, A Day in the Life of Miami.
