Joe Budden Addresses Consequence Confrontation, Says He “Wouldn’t Have Taken It Very Far”

Last week, a video was released showing Joe Budden confronting Consequence over comments that he and his girlfriend Jen “The Pen” made during a radio interview.

Joey Jumpoff addressed the situation during a sit-down with Shade 45’s Sway in the Morning, discussing how he allowed Cons to go off on a rant before saying what he needed to say.

“I gave him the opportunity to say anything he or his wife had to say to me. … I just wanted to see what was up with him,” he said. “I wouldn’t have taken it very far at all, where we were. That’s just not smart. But I’m prepared to take care of it.”

Speaking on his current standing with his “Love & Hip Hop” co-star, the New Jersey native said that he doesn’t harbor any ill will towards him but that it came as a surprise. “I don’t invited him over for Spades or anything like that,” he said. “I would like to think that we have an understanding, but I mean I thought that prior to that conversation. So I always think that everything is cool until I have to find out things aren’t cool via radio, via media. Hopefully we won’t have issues.”

Joe most recently released his third straight-to-retail album No Love Lost. The project, which spawned the single “She Don’t Put It Down” featuring Lil Wayne and Tank, bowed at No. 15 with 30,000 copies sold.

    1. Shameless plugs but regardless. Joey came to Cons on some grown shit and they squashed it. Does it really matter who’s the cooler person at this moment in time?? Stop talking dumb Ish for replies and admit that this wasn’t really nothing. That is all there is to say. sway low key tried to instigate something that wasn’t there

    2. There wasn’t nothin real about Joe approaching Con. If he really wanted it, he would have stepped when the cameras were off. Media stunt as usual by Joe.

      1. i think part of that was smart so everyone could see whats up. not some bullshit he say she say shit cons is guilty for. man cons is too nice to be the dickhead he is
