Joe Budden has confronted Adam22 about a renewed wave of scrutiny over the No Jumper host’s alleged history with underaged girls.

Adam22 appeared on the latest episode of Budden’s Amazon AMP show, Conversation Lovers Only, which went live on Thursday (March 16). During the interview the rapper proceeded to call out Adam22’s version of his relationship to a woman who he claims to have met when she was 16 and he was in his early 20s.

Earlier this week, the curators of the Instagram account @officialpervbusters shared a pair of clips of their appearance on No Jumper, in which they addressed Adam22’s recent admission that he allegedly had a single phone conversation with the 16-year-old, but immediately ended the conversation when he realized she was under 18.

In his account of events, Adam22 said that he and the woman somehow reconnected when she was 19, at which point they started a sexual relationship. Joe Budden maintained that even if this timeline was accurate, the relationship would still be inappropriate.

“You said the girl was from wherever she was from, she didn’t know what she was doing; but you knew what you were doing,” Budden is heard saying in a snippet of his show. “You said, ‘I knew what I was doing, so I got away from her.’ Well… you didn’t get away from her if, by the grace of God, she ends up back in your life now that she’s OF age; you’re spending the night at her fuckin’ mom’s house. What type of white boy pervert shit… what are you talkin’ about?”

Adam22, however, said that he felt he’d done nothing wrong as he didn’t pursue the young woman until she was over 18.

“What is the pervert shit about dating somebody once they are legal and of age?,” he asked. “Joe, I didn’t say a word to her for like three and a half years, and I mean that. It’s just, we just sorta ended up … I didn’t wait for anything, we just ended up reconnecting later on. So because I met her when she was underage, I shouldn’t have fucked her even though she’s of age? Well, in retrospect I wish I woulda taken that advice, it woulda made everything a lot simpler, right?”

The scrutiny regarding this particular romantic situation has led the online community to revisit pervious accusations of sexual impropriety levied against Adam22 in the past, as well as a series of tweets in which he both used racial slurs and also seemed to encourage interactions between underage women and older men.

According to AllHipHop, the tweets allegedly included statements like, “My advice to any young girl out there: Sleep with much, much older men”; and “Getting raped is just a part of growing up.”

Adam22 told Joe Budden that he felt the tweets were taken out of context.

“That seems like an exaggeration,” he said. “I had some edgy, jokey tweets from like 2008-2012 or some shit that; a lot of those are pretty fucked up in retrospect. Joe, you remember Twitter back in the day and you know how fuckin’ toxic it was.”

In the midst of this scandal, at least two No Jumper co-hosts have separated from the popular podcast, Sportskeeda.com reports, adding that neither AD nor Trell — the cast members in question – have confirmed that their departure from the show had anything to do with these allegations.
