Jim Jones is celebrating being sober for the first time in over three decades — and it’s partly thanks to Kanye West.
The Dipset rapper has been in Tokyo, Japan with Kanye in recent weeks, with the two former Roc-A-Fella representatives seemingly working on music and fashion.

In a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday (January 29), Jones reveled in the fact that he has not smoked weed (or seemingly drank alcohol) for several days, something he hasn’t done since the early ’90s.
“I ain’t smoked in five days. I’ve been around here bouncing like a kid, like I’m in high school. I definitely got that high school feeling,” he said while walking around the Japanese capital.

“My body ain’t feel this pure in a minute! I was in the club dancing last night for like 45 minutes straight, sweating.”
Capo also wrote in the caption: “I ain’t been sober in 33 years this sh!t feel gooood can’t lie but I need tht HT soon i a land lol im addicted lol but at least I know when it’s time for business im disciplined to stop cold Turkey for Whts important Japan is n was a vibe till next time arigato.”
A factor in Jim Jones’ sobriety may also be Japan’s drug laws, which carry severe sentences for those caught in possession of marijuana.
Jones has been a surprise fixture at Kanye West’s side over the last week, with the Chicago rap legend basing himself out of Tokyo since last year to work on his upcoming album Bully.

The “Christmas In Harlem” collaborators were seen hanging out together this past weekend, hitting the club, listening to music and looking over clothes.
Capo also suggested that he was contributing to Yeezy’s new album.
Alongside a photo of him next to Ye, the “We Fly High” hitmaker wrote on Instagram: “We out here playin BULLY BALL only shot u don’t make is th shot u don’t take. This is about believing in urself when no one else will.
