Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton On Obama SNL Skit

Saturday Night Live has been known to release parodies focusing on politicians. Lately, they have had their share of fun with Senator Clinton and Senator Obama. One of those recent skits showed Barack Obama sending Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson away to make sure no one connects them with his campaign.

So, what did they think of this?

“I laughed,” Sharpton told the New York Daily News. “In fact, Barack has repeatedly asked for my support. I haven’t endorsed either Barack or Hillary [Clinton]. As long as things are still up for grabs, I intend to remain neutral.”

“Why should I have to comment on some comedy writer’s opinion?” Later, Jackson added that he is excited to be a part of Sen. Obama‘s “supporting cast.”

He added his own view on those he calls “cynics.”

“Given how the cynics operate, the best optics are his wife, his children and his supporters.”
