Jermaine Dupri and Drake are on board as producers for the upcoming Magic City: An American Fantasy docuseries.

According to Deadline, JD and Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment are among the producers on the doc capturing the mystique of Atlanta’s famous strip club that has long been a staple of the intersection of Hip Hop and culture in the city.

“Magic City is a second home for me. It’s the one place where celebrities, hustlers, politicians, and Atlanta locals all come together,” Dupri said. “I’ve watched it evolve over the years from a local joint to an internationally-recognized spot. It’s about time we tell this story the right way.”

The three-part series has wrapped production and is directed by Charles Todd. Fans can expect interviews with 2 Chainz, Nelly, former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike, Big Boi and more.

“The inner workings of Magic City and its prevalence in Hip Hop are remarkably mysterious – it’s a wonder the story has yet to be told,” said Jami Gertz, executive producer. “Atlanta is my adopted home and a place I’m looking forward to celebrating through this story.”

An American Fantasy will reportedly explore “Hip Hop, crime, women’s sexuality, Black entrepreneurship, and socio-economic politics” in addition to a look into the club’s founder, Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney.

There will also be exclusive footage showcasing how certain songs broke in the club thanks to the DJs and dancers. Although, no release date for the docuseries has been cemented.

Future is also a frequent visitor of the Atlanta jiggle joint and he even received some fan mail at the club last year. “@Future come pick up your mail Mr. Owner,” Magic City captioned the image, to which Hendrix jokingly replied in the comments section, “on my way soon.”

During an interview with GQ in 2016, the Freebandz boss described Magic City as a “strip club when you walk in and you throw money and girls get complete naked, like they take their bottoms off and they take their top and they shake they ass.”
